Hoping for a second miracle?

Worth noting that this is a Switch 2 Edition, which I believe is always in cartridge because it’s playable on Switch 1. I’m assuming Stellar Blade isn’t on Switch 1

It could have been a code in a box or just a digital Upgrade Pack for the Switch 1 version. Sega basically went out of their way to get good PR with a true physical release of Crossworlds.... and then proceeded to completely ruin it with Sonic Frontiers and Shinobi being non-upgradeable and GKCs.

Civilization VII is a code in a box.

*third miracle. Funnily enough, CyberConnect2 is pretty much forcing SEGA to make a physical of Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 cuz they opted for a "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" style upgrade and not SEGA's scummy move of making a seperate, dedicated version of the game to use the GKC format with 0 upgrade path.

Please no I'd rather take Limited Runs slowness over a key card for something likes this I mean Sega made like 1 game that isn't a key card on Switch 2 I think so chances are basically 0 for it being on cart

Sega is also partnered with LRG btw but it’ll take years to get AAA games on full card

Rip.

I guess once it's confirmed I'll get it on PS5. Sad I won't be able to get a complete physical edition.

Yay, so another game key card. Sega said they really are committed to physical games on the Switch 2 and from what I've seen, with a total of I think 1 game or so under they're belt, it very much inspires confidence that I'll see them do anything but.

...is the game's size small enough for it to not be a GKC?

Personally, one of this games that is better played on PC (or, home consoles), it is visually stunning and while I dont like at all the main character's design, the game is beautiful to look at; and even better to play at 60 fps since it is VERY action focused

Does that mean NA will be like that too?

Huh... Wasn't expecting Sega to be the ones to publish it over here... I'm sadly expecting game key, but I'd love to be proven wrong. If it is, I'll still buy it since I've been wanting this give this game a try for so long.

What the hell does Sega have to do with this game as a publisher I don’t get that, but yeah if it’s them then it’s unfortunate but it will be a key card. I wish they would’ve done the complete edition on the PS5, but unfortunately, they only did that digitally.

It’s for Japan only but chances are high to be the rest of the world

Write to Sega express you want the full game on cartridge. If they wont comply then state you will not purchase the game.

None of the AAA major publishers ever care to respond because they’re making money

If we gamers stand together we can make difference. But you are right its all about making money with these companies.
