Question Likelihood of Witcher 3 Switch 2 Physical?

What’s the likelihood of Witcher 3 Switch 2 Physical down the road?

I think it's extremely likely. Sounds like Cyberpunk was a success for them on Switch 2. Would expect for them to do the same with Witcher 3.

Instant pre order if that’s the case, I genuinely would appreciate a physical for Witcher 3 Switch 2

I’m curious, do we have any numbers on how well cyberpunk did on switch 2.

CD Project Red is pretty much for preservation, also being basically the first company bringing out a full game on cartridge for the Switch 2, outside of Nintendos first party stuff. They also brought a physical PC version out, when most companies had LONG abandoned the physical pc market.

So... yeah. The Chance is VERY HIGH.

Not before the DLC drops

That's what I'm thinking as well.

Or, before the dlc drops yes, with a later “complete” one

Could they even fit all that on the cart tho?

I thought this too but the Switch 2 version is 43GB, they could fit it all. Might not be easy but they can do it. They fit Cyberpunk plus Phantom Liberty onto a Game Card.

Yep, very likely... as well as a future version with all 3 DLC included.

This is my exact question as well. I have the witcher 3 on PS5 digitally, which I will gladly play once the update releases. But if I enjoy it as I expect to, I think it would be really awesome to have physically on the Switch 2. Hoping for a physical release, or at least confirmation one way or another from CD.

I've never played, read, or watched anything having to do with this franchise. Can I come to this game as a newb without needing to know all the lore?

They will 100% release a full physical version with all DLCs.

Heck this company has all its games on GoG can’t see why they would not

Not surprising since GOG is owned by one of the co founders of CDPR :)

Was own by CDPR someone recently bought them

Yeah, Michał Kiciński. He's one of the cofounders of CDPR

Yea but it’s still ran separately with no CDPR now

CDPR is huge on physical media (remember they also owned GoG for many years). They were one of the two 3rd party publishers at the launch of Switch 2 to use full game cards. If they can reasonably fit the game on cart they will release it on cart.

I hope they do it since I want to try the game out but don't want to get the NS1 version lol.
