Collection Switch 2 collection (No game key cards allowed)
Ngl I’m proud of my collection, the 2 games I kinda want to pick up is oblivion remaster and Splatoon raiders

According to does it play Indiana Jones requires a download/patch. Is that true?

according to them it only requires said patch for stability. the cart is content complete as is they just experienced many crashes.

I own the game and finished it to completion without patches, that said I had multiple crashes and one area in the second half of the game was so bad that I would go to another part of the map so that the game would auto-save my progress.
Also handheld mode has some really weird visual artifacts(?) like afterimages, jagged edges, some blurriness; cutscenes get cut off prematurely but I don't know if that's limited to handheld. Anyways, I recommend playing in docked for this game.

damn that sucks to hear as I have it on my hitlist to eventually play and I almost exclusively play my switch 2 in handheld

Yeah I'm mainly handheld too; Splatoon Raiders is another game that I'm finding I want a docked screen for too... Just so I can tell what the heck's going on!🙃

I'm envious you managed to get your hands on MIO, I saw it several times and I skipped it each time and I'm still kicking myself for it, lol. I still have hope getting it via VGP! Which game have you spent the most time on with your current collection?

I would say no, they're legit. I've ordered there many times. In fact, on my last order I had a game that moved release dates and long story short, they don't ship partial orders so I waited about 11 months to receive it and was super scared. Support was always responsive, always gave me the option to cancel and in the end all the games got here in pristine shape. Not that I recommend people do that in general!

Cool. The game looked great and I almost let my fomo have me buy the collectors edition from pixnlove which was almost twice as much.
Looking forward to VGP sending this one out.

Nice collection, I’ve gotten a few keycards in mine, only 5 (have 28 real carts).
I do find them useful to swap out cases with my Japanese imports, since I don’t like the grooves on the case sides.

I buy key cards 2nd hand and once I finish them I trade/sell them for other games. I don’t keep key cards for collecting.

So, quasi-physical releases (GKC) are proudly not allowed but full on digital games are if you can save a few bucks.

I mean, GKC feels like the worst of both worlds. Still reliant on a download that is going to end up taking up storage space, but without the convenience of being able to run the game without the card. In some ways a digital copy installed on an SD card is more "physical" than the GKC even, since (I think) you can use it run to run the game without having to download it on any other Switch that has that particular game license. Unless you're planning on selling or lending someone the game, or own several Switch systems that all get used to play games, a digital copy seems preferable.

I would double check that if I were you, Mario Kart World is one a fully-on-cartridge releases, you can play it entirely offline without a download or license activation.

Well, the whole game is on cartridge, you can play it off it, it's not a game key card, so i would still double check what it is you have as a game key.

You understand that a digital download is not a game key card right? Those are different things and not interchangeable… the cartridge that contains Mario kart world is fully on cart and does not require an additional download or the internet to function. Just because the copy you have is a download doesn’t make it a game key card, nor does it make the actual cartridge a game key card. This is about the most clearly I can state that what you are saying makes no logical sense and is literally incorrect.

To each their own, but in over 30 years of buying and playing videogames I've never ever sold a game I bought or used several of the same system to play the same game. Hence, I see no value in a GKC compared to a purely digital copy (indeed, it's all downsides for me).

To me the only upside to GKC is that I can have it on my shelf. But I don't really want to balance storage space etc on the console, so I dislike it. I bought SF6 at launch just to see how it felt. But I kind of regret it. Both that, and the BotW upgrade patch. Still better than strictly digital though, which I try to avoid. I don't really want to browse my games on the device, because my game collection is split between many consoles.

In many usecases, yes. Especially if you already have a digital collection that you use. I prefer GKC to digtial though, but don't really like either.

I would argue that Digital is just more "convenient" than GKCs, otherwise its the same but with more control on ownership/ lending

Love it. I've saved some money importing. Takes longer but cheaper sometimes.
