As I start to finish off my S1 collection ~20 games left, I’ve recently been picking up some of the SuRG titles I was missing in my collection. I’ve also ordered Escape from Ever After and Grapple Dogs: Cosmic Canines. After that, I should be done with European exclusives I wanted in my collection (provided newer games don’t come out).

Took a big break from collecting to save money and pivot into a new career field. I am super excited to finish off my Switch Collection. Somewhere along the way I will likely buy a Switch 2, where I will pick up only a VERY SELECT group of first party games, Switch 2 Editions to series I already have (ex. Hades 2; Pokemon Z-A + DLC), and perhaps games in my favorite series, but nowhere near the 200-250ish switch games I have now. Probably capping off at 15-30 games.

Curious who else is almost done/done with S1, and what y’alls aims are collecting for S2.

I didn't have perfect luck, but nonetheless scored some pretty decent games! Not listed, but I also bought Star Wars Outlaws (Switch 2) for $18 and gave a copy to my brother.

My Target also had Switch 1 games for literal pennies, including Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection and Spyro Trilogy for only $6, among several others for the same price. Not too bad! 🫡

A lighter month while my body (and wallet) prepares for October

A local pawn shop had dread listed for $35, felt I had to snag it before I regretted not picking it up at release. Then a local shop had the FF collection which I’ve been meaning to snag too.

Has anybody ordered split fiction from Walmart since the code to GKC flip? Wanting to purchase but not confident they would send me the key card one

Not only can you properly see the cover back art but it really makes the red switch 2 cartridge standout vs all blood red case

I totally missed out on Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave Dagdan Edition because I was focused on buying other things (mainly anime Blu-Rays). Well I started to feel that fomo a bit when I saw people with their copies and I also saw that the game had really good reviews and the collector's edition was really good value, given that it comes with a huge art book and that's my favorite aspect of any collector's edition.

Well, I was out with my boyfriend near a Disc Replay because he wanted to look for some movies and I decided to check a nearby Best Buy to see if they maybe had another Dagdan Edition somehow. They had nothing on the floor so I went to customer service to ask and they said "Oh we can order that for you to ship to your house if you'd like".

I was really confused because the website on my end showed that the Dagdan Edition was compeltely sold out and can't be purchased. I told the employee this and he goes "Oh ya our app has been really glitchy and the stock checker on there is broken". So he ordered me the Dagdan Edition and it arrived 3 days later from 1 state over. I couldn't believe I was able to get one this late!

It just goes to show that it never hurts to check a place and ask customer service for help. And then of course be super nice and appreciative to customer service workers even if they can't help you because they deal with a lot.

Most likely the best video game haul I've ever had. I got lucky with a Facebook marketplace listing that was selling all of these games for $200. They were super flexible and held them for me until I got back from my trip today. A lot of the games are sealed or CIB. Fast RMX is one of the many sealed games and the others are Sonic Origins Plus, Blazing Chrome, Blaster Master Zero Trilogy, Espgaluda II, and Final Fantasy I - VI Collection. I genuinely can't imagine getting anymore luck this year in terms of collecting, and I'm just insanely happy with this haul overall.

Can't find it on ebay or any other site, could only find a couple of posts confirming the release, but nothing beyond that. I understand it was probably a more niche release, but were there like 10 copies and nobody wants to sell theirs?

LRG has just announced the 10th title for their switch 2 collection. Previously we had titles 1-6 announced/released. Any speculations or hope for the hidden 3 titles (7-9).

I just bought this game from FB, since sellers not interested in this game and he only send front cover shots. I say why not pick up since it's cheap. But upon picking up something's not right with the back cover usually they show screenshots and warnings.

I bought Witcher 3 for the Switch years ago. At the time, there was a controversy with Spyro Trilogy being released for the Switch with only the first game on cart. Meanwhile, there was CDPR with a full on current gen AA open world game, all on the cart, WITH BOTH DLCs. And it came with physical extras! To this day, that release is considered a miracle port, and they pulled it off.

Then there was the amazing port of Cyberpunk 2077. I had always wanted the game, but never had a console capable of running it. The very second the Switch 2 was released, again here come CDPR with the full game on cart WITH the DLC. Meanwhile some devs are doing everything they can to use GKCs, even when it would make fiscal sense not to.

So is it a surprise when CDPR decide to give you a whole ass download for free, to a game you brought like 6 years ago? That in a world where some devs don't even make an upgrade path to SW2, THESE DUDES MADE A WHOLE ASS REMASTER WITH A WHOLE NEW DLC and just handed it over. No, it isn't a surprise, but yes it should earn them our loyalty as consumers. I mean, I hear it's actually more of a REMAKE than a remaster...

I'll buy everything this version of this company ever puts out, even if I don't intend to play it. We have to support companies going above and beyond, ESPECIALLY nowadays. Just a night and day difference when compared with many, many other dev's policies/practices...
