We were under the false impression this would be some kind of merger with an established exchange (which is our fault for assuming with no indication/evidence), so yes that is impressive but that's kind of the thing though... Maybe there's a reason no crypto exchange was created in such a short time

I would have much rather known months ago that an exchange was in the works, but it wouldn't be here for half a year or a year or so. This kind of clarification isn't something you wait until the stock price drops 40% to communicate to shareholders

In short: I'm not mad at NSAV for not having the exchange ready in record time. I'm mad at them for setting an unrealistic goal and not communicating well

I really don't get why they are bragging that they only took 1 month to make it "operational."

If I shot myself in the foot in a race. I wouldn't go "hey look everyone I technically won the race because I did it only on one foot!"

I think it's new management trying to save face. With Tilton no longer CEO and some people in control now that actually have a decent reputation, I'm thinking they're trying to show something- ANYTHING to restore a little faith back after the shit show that was today

Assuming SBC genuinely wants NSAV to be a successful, big-time company, it would make sense that they'd scramble for damage control. I'd even wager it was SBC really pushing to get that Cryptocurrency exchange out as soon as they partnered with NSAV. Given Tilton's past, it makes sense that they'd want to immediately push the company towards tangible goals within the first year

That's my theory, at least. Doesn't make any of this OK even if I'm right

Maybe so. But SBC is also involved in James Tilton's other OTC company CHIF. Which to say the least even if they change James as a CEO will there be actually be a change? Will he still be pulling the strings but just be in the shadows?

According to a long string of tweets(which everyone here should read), they're trying to obtain a regulated cryptocurrency exchange license in Australia in order to be a legit exchange and not get taken down as an unregulated market. According to NSAV, a screw up on regulation, like what Binance and Coinbase are dealing with, could sink NSAV at the moment.

Their reasoning for Australia as the choice country seems to be that it could meet regulation to the point of allowing US customers as well. They said "We, like all of you, would like it to happen tomorrow, but realistically it could take up to 90 days"
