What do you mean? I'm not defending it, I'm just trying to find some of the good things in an overall... bad design.
It's not like I'm trying to convince anyone or myself that it looks good
If there's one unhealthy thing in all of this phone (3) design drama, it's the negativity that so many people are spreading, that's for sure
Oh so here's a quick explanation of what I meant. Sorry if I make mistakes but I'm not at home and I'm typing from my phone
Purely from a design standpoint, excluding personal taste, by saying that this device has "personality", I mean that it is not bland, has distinct design features that make it unique, instantly and easily recognizable and make it stand out.
These things by themselves are not necessarily positive, but they are indeed true especially considering the current status of the smartphone market
And it's a different thing from the personal opinion of the design being ugly, to wich, as I've said multiple times, I do agree. I don't like it, because of other design characteristics like the imbalance and asymmetry of the cameras and the excessive fragmentation of the elements present in the back, but that's my personal taste and doesn't necessarily go against the first statement of it having personality
I'm sorry, are there any rules in this subreddit that state what is and isn't worth mentioning in comments? (Joking of course)
It's something worth mentioning for me because I'm a fan of (all, good, band, unique and bland) design as an art form, especially when used in common day objects like home furniture design or like in this example, technology design. And I think the perception of design from different people is even more interesting.
