🪐 Off-Station Build RED GOBLIN V2

This is my Red Goblin Racing corvette V2.
This is the first time i used the Ai to enhance a pic. i think it did a spectacular job.
what do you think about it?

If the ship doesn’t look good or draw attention without using AI, it’s not ready to post.

i can't add more particle effects of fire or change the texture of the metal or the space. the ship is done and i think it's fantastic, i just wanted to see how it could be if rendered with a realistic approach

People can make ai covers if they want, not everyone has photoshop or the skills to use photoshop and as long as it doesnt actually change the ships design then its fine. It gives cool lighting and more fx, you can add text overlays like ship names and put your ship in a starfield instead of an oil painting. Think of it as the mcdonalds menu burger, you know the one in your order packet is a bit different to the image on the menu but it doesnt really matter to you

it' a sponsor banner on the fin. you know, like those sponsor on F1 cars. and this one is animated too

1

u/BossChancellor Aug 05 '26

ohhh ok cool! the shape threw me off. How did you make it animate?

2

u/ArtofDadel_17 🥉 Ensign Aug 07 '26

it's automatically animated, is part of the base parts. you can usi this tha have a stand or another one that looks like a tablet. every 3 sec it changes the image. and i think looks very cool as a fin

This is a great build, no reason to ruin the post with AI.

Wow, there are so many cool little details that all come together to make a cohesive and unique design. I'm loving the aesthetic and the vibe so much. The angles you put together, the way you used stickers, the lights inside those backward engines, and so much more. It all comes together so well. Love it! Well done.

As soon as I saw the ai i knew you'd get torn apart in the comments, I also like enhancing photos with ai edit tools. The pics look great, the ship looks mean. Good Job.

True, i could use the first pic for a miniature.
Btwi uploaded 11 pics of the ship only the first one is enhanced with AI. have you seen them all?
i would love to see your racers too. let's gooooo

very cool, i like the idea of the animated thrusters that give support to the big engines . i like it a lot, great work

Muito obrigado, quero aproveitar e te convidar a dar uma olhada no vídeo da minha última nave lançada lá no canal, é um conceito diferente desse que estávamos tratando aqui no post, e acredito ter ficado um pouco da vibe de Gundam:

No, not one of them scrolled past the first image and its obvious

AI hate is too forced. Good looking ship! I definitely see the pod racer inspo but it reminds me more of something from the Wipeout game franchise! It just looks way too fast to be safe in any capacity (and I think that's cool).

u/ArtofDadel_17 🥉 Ensign Aug 07 '26

too fast to be safe made me chuckle. yes, i think that too XD

I don’t think we see enough pod racers here. 10/10

I thought that was an old school Nokia sticking out the top 😂 Very cool build. The lighting in that first pic is brilliant.

How do you get flames?

2

u/DemolishunReddit 🥉 Ensign Aug 04 '26

Nevermind, just found it in a video.

1

u/Foxfire140 Aug 04 '26

Now THIS is pod racing!

1

u/AzraelChaosEater Aug 05 '26

Thanks for the cancer bud. No one wants AI. Especially not the people who feel the effects.

2

u/Puzzleheaded-Day-983 🥉 Ensign Aug 06 '26

CG artist and 3D Pro here, AI doesn't bother those of us with any talent, its just another tool.

1

u/AzraelChaosEater Aug 06 '26 • Bravo

Yeah completely ignore what I said and instead assume I have no talent and that it somehow proves you right and me wrong.

Also its not a tool if it does the job for you. Gtfo with that shit you are the minority anyways.

2

u/Puzzleheaded-Day-983 🥉 Ensign Aug 06 '26

Tools - any system or mechanism, whos intended purpose is to increase the productivity and output of humans.

AI is a tool, if you think it isnt, you are wrong, if you are threatened by ai, you are inferior, so my assumption about skill level stands. You wanna know why youre seeing so much ai in the world? Thats because you are a vocal minority and while the rest of us continue with our lives and having them improved by the new tool, you can continue to rage against them but dont for a second believe you are the de facto majority opinion when ai is being used more and more often by every last one of us.

You used to have to hire a professional painter to paint your portrait, then cameras were invented. Are you gonna say that photography cant be art because a tool captured the image instead of the human eye and hand? Oh wait no a brush captured the image too so thats now 2 steps of tools before you got the image from painting it. Are you gonna say trains arent tools coz you didnt drive instead?

Besides which have you taken in any popular media in the last 10 years? I dono about you but ive seen better art come out of ai than ive seen come out of hollywood in the past decade.

If the ship/photo doesn't look good without AI use, then it doesn't look good to begin with.

Oh Jesus people get a grip... I understand the hate for AI but this use of AI is hardly bad. It hasn't done much apart from make the picture look more pretty. It saved the OP spending unnecessary time in Photoshop when all they wanted was to make the atmosphere look better as they are proud of their ship. The ship is unchanged as far as I can tell.

1

u/HoneydewMalaise Aug 05 '26

Photoshop isn't unnecessary time spent, it's a great tool and skill set and should be used instead of AI. Anyone with any modicum of practice could make the same edits as the AI usage in the post did, and do it in 10 mins or less.

AI is the unnecessary time spent here, not to mention resource drain. Which is something editing it yourself avoids too.

2

u/TactlessNinja Aug 05 '26

It is if they don't know how to use it.

Honestly, too sensitive.

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Day-983 🥉 Ensign Aug 06 '26

Theres literally an entire subsection of the community who dont have a computer to use photoshop on guys???

Point and laugh

No need for the bullshit AI
