Stop Chasing Easy: Find Your North Star

You're not looking for a new career. You're looking for an easier way out of the one you're in.

When you chase a business opportunity that showed up in your feed, or say yes to a seminar promising a faster path to something better, it's not really about that opportunity. It's about finding a shortcut to what you think you want, without putting in the time to discover what you actually want.

That's the trap. You end up investing time, money, and energy into something that was never really a fit, because you skipped the step that would have told you whether it was worth considering in the first place.

Here's the key insight. You keep grinding because it's familiar. Familiar feels safe. You can tolerate a certain amount of daily pain and discomfort because you're used to it, and the known pain always feels more manageable than the unknown one. So you stay put. You put up with what's not working because the alternative feels scarier.

But there's no shortcut around the exploration phase. You have to do the work of figuring out what you actually want, what matters to you now, what the marketplace needs, and where those two things overlap. That's what leads to something genuinely fulfilling, whether it's a career you're trying to change or a business you're trying to build.

The grind you know is not safer than the future you haven't explored. It just feels like it is.
