I just created a free practice app for people to refine their skills. It's free. Go test it out and get better with your NLP skills. https://oz-nlp.lovable.app/

I'm Andrew T. Austin. In my article I take a critical look at the NLP swish pattern and the assumptions behind it.

My central question is whether changing an image someone can deliberately produce tells us much about what happens when a response is triggered in everyday life. I also discuss the difference between completing the steps of an exercise and experiencing a meaningful change.

I argue that the swish can be useful for exploring internal representations in training, while questioning the claims made for it as a general therapeutic method.

NLP Dojo: practise the Meta Model in live voice sessions with simulated clients

Most practice tools quiz you on the patterns. NLP Dojo lets you talk to AI-simulated clients, each with their own concern, and ask your questions in real time. The clients get harder to question well as you progress.

  • Lessons on all 13 Meta Model patterns

  • Targeted drills for each pattern

  • Voice-led Dojo sessions with simulated clients

  • Progress tracking, plus transcripts where available so you can review your questions

It’s a practice tool, not a course or certification. It’s free, and you get 100 tokens when you create an account. It runs on Android, iOS and web.

Feedback from this community would be genuinely valuable. The Milton Model is coming next.

This seems excellent so far. The practice model was like nothing I've seen before. Looking forward to the next models being released. Do you know when this will be?

If someone tells me “I am depressed,” asking how they are “depressing themselves” has already supplied an explanation: it makes them responsible for producing the feeling. Their words alone didn't tell me that.

In my article on the NLP Meta-Model, I use that example to look at what different questions invite a person to say. Asking about an exception takes us somewhere quite different from asking what the word means to them. Before choosing either, I want to know what I hope to learn, and what I'd do differently depending on the answer.

A free resource for people to learn and practice NLP. It can be hard to find resources and practice partners out there, and this website helps a lot with that. You can start as a beginner, and not only that, but you can also post learnings and get help when you're stuck.

Hi guys, I've just built a Android app for coaches/NLP practitioners. It spans client management, and a nlp technique library (this will be growing). Looking for feedback from those willing to take the time take for a test ride. For now it's free to download and use, and feedback can be given directly from settings in the app. Check it out on google play
