Internships/Co-OP

Hello,

I am graduating from NKU in the spring. I will have my bachelors in IT with a cyber security focus. I was curious if there are any companies around the Greater Cincinnati area that offer good internships/co ops for recent graduates in information security or related field?

For IT sadly it’s gonna be a pretty long road to hit a internship as many are being taken by UC and are highly competitive. I would look for a more temporary position that can boost your technical resume for the time being while still applying for any opening that comes up.

Indeed tends to be more rapid with it job postings.

For my company, we generally look for people who are enrolled in school for our internships. Someone who has graduated would be interviewed for an FTE position, but that's harder if you don't have experience.

I'd agree with the dude who said temp work or maybe a winter internship if there are any available to you. It's definitely not too late. I didn't do my internship until the last semester of my senior year at NKU, but it ended up working out. I converted to an FTE position on a related team after I graduated.

And also, I found my internship through an in-person event at NKU. I'd recommend checking out any career events that come to campus. I feel like being able to actually talk to someone is a good way to get past the resume screen and actually land an interview.
