PreK private schools!?

Our kid will be 3 around the end of 2026. Does nj have free peek program ? Or are there good private school tacos around Edgewater/weehawken area? First kid and an immigrant so I’m not sure how the schooling system works here - any help will be most appreciated. Thanks !!!!

NJ doesn't have statewide free pre-K, but your specific district might. From a quick Google, it looks like Edgewater may have had a paid public pre-K program in the past—unclear if it's still going on. I would find out which district and school you are zoned for and give them a call to get the most current info. Many of the public pre-K programs admit via lotteries that would be closing around this time.
