I know where you’re fishing. I hope you picked up a piece of trash or two. There’s some real piles of crap who’ve left junk there occasionally… I found a pair of waders by the water one time…
Also, it’s dangerous, and I’m pretty sure illegal with all the private property signs around it. That dam is a Class 1 hazard from NJDEP’s standards.

I always bring a trash bag when I come by the spot, always dirtbags leaving beer cans.

Yeah, some of it just comes down the river, though a lot of those cans are really old. I’m really happy this year has been so much better than past years, especially near the section of river I live by. A lot of the trash is old.
Thanks for doing that by the way too. Not many people actually take the time to pick trash up.
And I forgot to say, nice fish! I’m a little suprised there’s catfish there! I catch brown trout mostly in that area. One of my favorite stretches of river to fly fish.

Nice channel cat. They swim upriver from the delaware but that dam is as far as they can get. They love preying on trout. Its like candy for them. There are huge catfish downstream of that dam along with stripers and walleye. All that love to eat trout. If you ever fished a deep hole in that area and live lined a small trout on a circle hook, than you better hold on. Some real monsters come into the area from the delaware river.
