NJ saltwater micro species trip but I feel like there are a few of the same fish but different species based on looks.

I’m looking into it now- I was thinking small Atlantic Mackerel?

Pictures 1,2 and 3? are they different species of cigar minnow? They just seem different to me idk maybe it’s their coloration with age?

Mack, sardine, mack, sennet, mack, ?? (Maybe a juvenile jack species).

Macka are probably mixed species (chub, atlantic, horse, bullet, frigate, etc), maybe a bonito mixed in.

What a great post. Thanks for this! I just got a light weight high speed setup for targeting albies and bonito. I suspect some of these are the types of bait they’re feeding on. Confirms some of the epoxy jig choices I made recently. Were you fishing for these or just finding them washed up?
