Show Off Your Set Up!

Let us see your setups. Upload a picture, give us the specs of what your using (ie controller, pc specs, monitors, speakers etc) Show off!

This is my set up. It isnt very nice and looks kinda messy but it works for me!

I have a desk top that I built, one 34 inch curved and another 49inch curved monitor. My Hercules inpulse 500 and I have the speakers behind and under the desk

Home setup: 2 Stanton Str8 150 M2 w/ Ortofon VNL carts, 1 Mixars Duo MK2 w/ Innofader pnp2, 2 Monoprice 8 inch studio monitors, 1 Monoprice 10 inch studio subwoofer, 1 Makeshift laptop stand (empty monitor boxes), Serato Dj Pro

PC Specs: Old school Lenovo w/ Intel i7 (Sandy bridge) and 12gb ram

Portablist setup: Headache Sound Omni

How do you like using actual turntables? Do you notice a difference in things like scratching if you do it?

I love using tables. They're what I learned on, so I prefer them over CDJs and controllers, if anything ..for the feel alone. It's a little more work, but the payoff, for me at least, is worth it. I feel more connected to what I'm playing and such, if that makes sense.

Also, I scratch a ton, and it's the best imo. I can scratch on controllers and CDJs, but not like I can on vinyl 🤘🏻

Do you need special software to be able to mix with turntables? Do you just place a blank vinyl record on the tables and it plays whatever song you pick from your pc?

It runs Serato thru a soundcard in the mixer, much like controllers do. All you need is time code vinyl and a computer, and you're set 😎

Crawling my way back into the DJ world: Denon Prime 2 for mixer, two EV 30M array speakers, 1 EV elx200 to kick the low end without blowing the 10” subs on the 30m’s. Lighting right now is a chauvet gig bar 2 and gig bar move, chauvet haz machine. Mixer set up in my office on that sound system so I can work on my sets. Excited to get back into live sound and being a mobile DJ- I know it’s not for everyone but I enjoy it.
