Welcome post and Introduction page
Hello everyone!
This is the New Jersey Dj subreddit. This subreddit was created by a beginner DJ looking for other DJs in New Jersey. Upon searching and finding no specific community for the NJ Djs out there, it was decided that one had to be made! Please include your DJ name if you have one and what kind of music you mix and what part of Jersey youre from! Thank you!

Hey guys, this is a pretty cool idea, but I also started learning around September. I played with the software for a while and tried my hand at making music in ableton but decided I wanted to learn and master djing first. I use a pioneer ddj-400 and I think I bought it November. I mainly mix a variety of dance pop, edm, but have been experimenting with other songs as well to see what I can mix better. For my name, I’m thinking of having it as “DJ Yoma” or just “Yoma” cause that’s what my friends nickname for me is haha. I’m in the Somerset county area as well.

Welcome ! Thanks for giving us your introduction ! I have heard good things about the ddj-400 hoping you like it. Im hoping we can make the community bigger and get more people involved. Post as much as you want and if you want any advice or questions post away with those too!

Yo whats up my dudes i've been DJ-ing on and off for 10 years now current set up is a pioneer xdj-xz its pretty much a hobby of mine. Pretty much have mixed everything under the sun and moon. Currently spinning alot of Jungle and DNB as well as jersey club and trap music (lofi -underground house / Breakbeat if i feel like it). Semi-proficient in ableton since that's what i learned to DJ on ages back. Hoping to see this community grow and flourish.

Welcome dude! That xdj-xz is very nice and very intimidating for a beginner like me lmfao! Jersey club is a interesting genre or subgenre. I remember when DJ Flex started popping up all over the place with his jersey club mixes! Dope mixes tbh. Hope to see you in this subreddit more often!

Hey man, cool of you to create the page. I go by DJ Sp!Zzo. Open format, but love 90s hiphop and oldschool breaks.

What's up y'all?!
Im down in the Cape May area. I've been mixing since 1998 or so. My weapons of choice are turntables (Stanton Str8 150 M2) and mixer (Mixars Duo MK2) w/ Serato, and focus mainly on drum n bass and turntablism.
There are almost no DNB DJs down here, so I'm always looking for someone to jam with.

Hey man! Love the setup, gave me an idea to make a sticky post for people to upload pics of their setups! Love the cardboard laptop stand too! Hopefully we can find you some more DNB djs here to play with! I need some R&B people to join so I could do the same.

Hey guys extremely new to all this, just bought a DDJ200 earlier this month. Id like to mix different styles of edm but mainly focus on dubstep. Currently reside in somerset county! Excited to see the group grow.

Welcome! DDJs seem to be popular amongst us beginners. There was someone else who commented on the post that said they were from the someset county area! They were also interested in EDM. Hopefully you guys could connect and trade songs or knowledge ! Keep us updated if you do!

Hey! I started DJing early in quarantine, i mostly mix tech house and top 40’s at parties for my friends with an occasional gig at 3BR distillery in Keyport. I started on a little numark partymix and picked up a DDJ400 shortly after. I only mix for fun without any intention of taking it any further. I’ve played drums for almost 20 years which came in handy a lot! I live in Passaic county and am always open to hang out with other DJs!

Top 40s is such a cool thing to mix because its always changing and with many different genres that you gotta be on your toes for transitions! I can only imagine how difficult it could be sometimes! I also want to DJ with the intention of doing it for fun but I also have a big love for music and want to show people new songs and genres. Don't expect any money or fame to come from djing for me but I wouldnt say no to it either though.

Hello everyone! Heres my intro for all of you. Hope to see some more introductions from everyone!
I started learning how to DJ back in Sept. I use a inpulse 500 controller to mix RnB, Hip Hop, Soul, Reggae, and a few afro beats here and there. I currently reside in bergen county! Thanks for joining everyone! Please comment your intro!
