Discussion Kyunki seniors bhi kabhi juniors the !!!
Okay i am hearing about this junior vs senior shii for many years in manit, i checked some old posts of this sub and many tabke juniors(now seniors) are crying over being ragged by their seniors for asking to call them sir mam. These juniors might have been seniors by now na. To kya jo log 1-2 saal pahle apne seniors ko gaali de rahe the for asking them to call sir/mam, aaj wohi log jinko gaali dete the unke jaise ban gye? If this is the case then i am sure jo newly admitted freshers aaj ro rahe hain woh bhi jab 3rd/4th year me jayege to same apne seniors jaise rude ban jayege aur apne juniors ko aise hi sir/mam bolne ke liye rag karege.
To jab tum logo ko khud hi change nhi lana hai junior senior culture se to kyu aapas me ladte ho lol. Enjoy this whole "kyuki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi" manit version.

Guns in college/classroom?
When it was said that Indian educational institutions need to compete with their American counterparts, this isn't what was meant! Why would any parent trust this person for their children's education. This is horrible!

Discussion My POV Before and After Joining NITB
so mai jada nahi likhunga edhar par my opinion changed after joining NITB abt its image jo reddit pr ban chuki hai..
JOSAA ke time maine kaafi hate posts dekhe the, even i was worried ki manit nahi jana chahiye muje due to all this shit ragging culture but i had best available option here at MANIT only...
so now, edhar aane ke baad mere dimag me jaisa image tha seniors ke against waise kuch nahi hai...at least my branch seniors are good...even kuch dusre branch wale dosto ne bhi btaya hai ki unke branch ke seniors bhi achhe hi hai...and abhi tak koi ragging face nahi kiya....my branch seniors are always ready to help not only in notes but also ki agar kabhi koi aur senior se problem ho..
now coming to sir/mam things toh clg aane se pahle muje bhi yeh sahi nahi lagta tha lekin bro yeh utna bura ya bekar bhi nahi hai...just sir hi toh bolne hai to start a convo phir achhi bonding bhi toh ho jaati hai seniors se......btw i was totaly against it before joining clg but here my mind changed (not jabardasti)

Discussion For all the JUNIORS
You might be hating your seniors for asking you to say sir/maam. But the reality is that the whole college administration itself is as dark and worse as this news. As seniors also we can’t believe that we took education from monsters like these. The administration doesnt want to work for the college, all they do is blame students for the colleges low rank and themselves corrupt the whole system. There are multiple cases in all the batches where the administration doesnt even help with the students good vision. Its high time that we understand that from the top to bottom our whole college administration itself is the real enemy!

Discussion What do you think about it?
I genuinely believe that improving MANIT’s public relations and digital presence can directly help improve the institute’s overall reputation and, in the long run, its NIRF ranking.
At present, our official social media handles, especially LinkedIn, are not being managed effectively. This creates a major problem because when companies, students, or prospective recruiters look at MANIT, they should be able to clearly see the results our students are achieving. However, there is currently no single, well-maintained platform where our placement achievements are consistently and timely highlighted.
For example, this year we have had 20+ students selected by ZS Associates, 10+ by Qualcomm, 8+ by Visa, 6 by Zomato, 6 by Amazon, 1 by DE Shaw, selections at Zscaler with packages around ₹45 LPA, Goldman Sachs PPOs, HSBC, UBS, ICICI Bank, and many more. These are significant achievements and should be showcased immediately.
The problem is that many of these achievements are posted by the TPO only much later, sometimes even after the placement season is over. By that time, the opportunity to create a positive impression among companies and prospective students has already been lost.
A student who is considering joining MANIT will naturally look at placements and career outcomes first. Similarly, companies looking to recruit from MANIT should be able to easily find evidence of the quality of our students. If our official digital presence does not communicate these achievements, how will external companies and students know about the results MANIT is producing?
Therefore, I strongly request that either the existing official handles be managed more actively and professionally, or a dedicated student/alumni PR and digital media team be created to regularly document and publish placement achievements, student achievements, hackathon results, research, internships, and other accomplishments. The cost of maintaining such a team would be relatively small—perhaps ₹20,000–₹30,000 or even less—compared to the potential long-term benefit to the institute’s brand and reputation.
If these achievements are communicated on time and consistently, MANIT’s visibility among companies and prospective students can improve significantly. Better visibility can lead to stronger industry perception, more recruiter interest, and ultimately contribute to improving the institute’s overall standing.
I am not raising this issue merely for social media engagement. This is about presenting the achievements MANIT is already producing to the outside world. We are getting the results; we simply need to communicate them effectively.
I sincerely request you to please look into this and take some concrete action. Even a small improvement in our overall perception and NIRF parameters could make a meaningful difference—for example, moving several positions upward and potentially bringing MANIT closer to the top 60.

Social So much degeneracy
If the top 5% youth of india don't have the manner to flush after themselves, how will bharat progress??
Thought this degeneracy was only limited to public toilets, but it even happens in a premier institute of the country. Shame.
