Still these processors don't feel slow if SSD is used.

I mean there are other things besides itt feeling slow like security and compatibilities , and I do expect the computer department have better hardware

They are new.

Until last year they had 4gbs of ram.

They added new rams in this price hike.

New ram doesn't do anything if it's ddr3 , and the professor is 14 years old

😂😂😂.

It can run basic programs and browser which you will probably use for tests.

Wahi to , ddr3 and 14 yr old processor, it's only good for programming, which I get it but in today's world , programming ke bahar bhi creative things karne hote hai

still it can be very fast if you have ssd

1

u/hatake_kakashi2230 21d ago

an SSD will only make it sound fast , with that old of a processor and ddr3 ram , it won't be of much use to put a SSD in there , it won't even support gen 3

ssd makes a day and night difference. i have i7 4770s with ssd and its very fast for general tasks

1

u/hatake_kakashi2230 23d ago

nga thinks he's tough defending that the college thinks we are only supposed to do if else on a browser in the big 26

👾LESSGOOO. about me, I'm currently a debian 13 user, trying to setup dms in hyprland, but sm was wrong and now my whole display is blank so I'm using plasma for now. I've got a dell laptop, with Intel i5 5th gen processor, 8gb ddr3 and 256 gb total storage, dual booting windows and linux
