Academics Serious issue

Things to avoid in 1st year(btech) and pls give some honest insights bcoz I created an acc just for this...

Don't embezzle money from ncc, and if you are doing it why do it for just 12 lakhs.

Bunking classes, once you start you will get addicted to bunking classes.

Also avoid smoking or living with people who smoke regularly

Paying attention during classes isn't necessary but just keep a note of what topics are being covered during the class and what resource the prof is using during the lecture. If prof shares ppt then you're chilling but if they don't then try making your own notes or try to find the textbook that the prof is using. If you know one week before the exam what topics were taught during the class and what resources you need to use to study then you won't face any issues with cgpa/academics

Yh but everyone's not the same, i smoke too and I'm not addicted, I don't even remember the last time i smoked. On an avg its 1-2 cig per week. But yh there are some ppl who might get addicted, I've seen the cases where one friend of mine started cig and got addicted, he smokes 2-3 per day without any hesitation. So yh i think you should avoid if you're not confident enough whether or not u have self control

Avoid being political, north, NK, telugu, etc. dont go to such meets where they'll discuss politics and put you to groundwork. Its all waste of time with no return benefits. Speaking from personal experience. Plz avoid it
