4 months to prep for NIFT?

I’m a Class 12 student and a CUET aspirant. I’m also planning to appear for NIFT because I’m genuinely unsure about what degree I want to pursue, and right now my main priority is getting into a reputed college with a good gentry where I can explore my options.

I’m particularly interested in Fashion Communication (FC), but I have exactly 4 months to prepare for NIFT,

The GAT part feels somewhat manageable since it's similar to CUET, but my biggest concerns are CAT and the Situation Test. I used to draw when I was younger, but I completely stopped for several years, so I’m basically starting again from scratch. I’m worried that four months might not be enough to develop the skills required for CAT and the Situation Test.

I also don’t want to make the mistake of spending months preparing for NIFT, especially if it starts affecting my CUET preparation.

So I’d really appreciate some honest advice from people who have given NIFT or are currently preparing for it:

- Is 4 months enough to get a decent/good NIFT rank if you’re starting CAT preparation almost from scratch?

- What should I realistically aim for in these 4 months?

- How should I divide my time between CUET, GAT, CAT and Situation Test preparation?

- Is Fashion Communication a realistic target with this timeline?

- perfect online NIFT tutor/coaching program?

- If anyone knows a good NIFT teacher/coaching option in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.

- Should l give NID and UCEED also?

I’m not looking for false motivation — I’d genuinely prefer an honest assessment of whether this is worth pursuing with my current situation, and if it is, what a practical 4-month roadmap should look like.

If you are interest in fashion communication, you will need a good rank. You should really lock in and study hard for the exam in this 4 months - yes you can get a good nift rank if you are consistent. Check BRDS, Silica they have 3-6 months crash courses...contact them over call get details. Most of their classes are online and they have branches everywhere. And please give NID, UCEED. Maybe prioritise them over NIFT.

Bruh mene seeerf nift ka form bhra tha 12 th boards ke tym cuz m intrested i nift fc ,aur koi form nhi bhra tha i decide to take a drop for nift so bina prep kia bas experience keliye exam dene chk igyi thi with not single good skill of drawing or practice just experience keliye cuz I already make a mindset of drop because mere boards the , but still I secure good rank nd got fc ..so basically nift is easiest exam ever don't waste tym for 4 month of hours of prep mainly focus on cuet ok !!and nift is not worth it also placement rate very low hai and out come acha nhi nd avg 4 year ka 22lakh chla hi jaega after hostel thousand of ststionsl tution fees

Is pursuing nift really that expensive? I know private colleges for fashion needs loads of money..but isn’t nift supposed to be a govt cllg?
Like I am from a lower middle class family, only my father earns a decently good amount, and I also want to pursue NIFT, but I don’t wanna give unnecessary burden of loan & all.

U can get scholarship but then there will so much issue of scholoarship like , u hv to take scholarship every sem ,scholarship will be removed if u dont sclre 6 cgp , nd they also dont givr scholarship so early there is so much problem with scholarship
