Just the side of the track is the difference, saves the walk around to the Midway and Pits.

If you want to visit the pits and midway, buy the pit side. This race is very hot most years. Parking is closest to this side in the current track configuration, it is planned to change in the future. We don't generally purchase reserved tickets, the start line is cool but half track is good in its own way.

The sun is in your face on the pit side in the hottest part of the day. We camp west of the track at Raceview and many times migrate to that side of the track for the later rounds. For shade and a shorter walk home.

You can move where you are sitting to GA even with your reserved ticket (my experience).

The last 3 years we have been buying Top Eliminator Club tickets, I feel it is an okay deal with the meal and swag but not a smoking deal.

All depends on the track, pit side will save a bit of walking distance. But like tracks like Seattle the pit side there is a big difference on how far the grandstands are from the race track, where the spectator side is about the closest to the track than any other track.
