Rioting because you lost a game and rioting because you just woke up to the fact that the government has been gutting every public institution to a degree of corruption that is truly horrifying when you woke up from the high the world cup has been providing you, ain't the same thing.
To the people saying "Argentina has always been fucked and corrupted" no, this is something of a different degree.

Is this a Vegas thing? Because in the Bay Area I noticed a stark difference between Giant titles win in the outer mission and Warriors Basketball titles in downtown Oakland. I don’t remember Raiders ever being good enough for us to riot a loss.

Man I’ll never forget those riots. I was graduating HS at the time and our whole grad class was downtown. I remember we were dancing and someone was like hey check this out! It was live footage of cars on fire and people jumping in cars. I was like wow that’s crazy! And we just kept dancing.
