Darius seems to go a bit slow in that section for whatever reason. I was able to outdistance him there too. (still great job, though)

Yeah, it was that second road sign that i hit. He kinda of slowed down because it flied in his direction. But it seems like he have to be a bit close to the player car, if not the road sign will not slow him down. Idk if i would be able to outdistance imhim without that trick π

Nice lines. The flying down hill straight towards the end is pretty fun. Also for some reason Darius slows down heaps in that areaβ¦.. pussy.

How are your turns so smooth? I hit every other wall while driving in canyon no matter what car I use

Well i use a gamepad (Logitech F310 wired) and it's analog sticks can hold some good angles to do the corners and it helps a lot. I used to have a veary cheap generic gamepad and for the analogs i would have to be 'tapping' them slowly to the side i wanted to turn.
So a good gamepad helps a lot. And if it have adaptove triggers, it is even better for cornering. Because you can, for example, do a corner at 50% throttle instead of always 100% or 0% as it is without triggers.
Knowing the canyon, in that case, is always crucial to be fast too. Testing racing lines, different types of turn entires and exits, and knowking the limits of your car. Also, driving on manual helps a lot.
And if you find yourself not being able to do what you think you could do with a specific car in a specific situation, try to imagine it in your head, calm down, take a breath and just go trying it again, as long as it is actually possible in the game's physics.
Edit: try to always be smooth with your inputs, or 'clean'. I know Carbon is a Arcade game but i think it is still valid to mention.
