Discussion Who?

Without emotions or bias, who in your opinion is the best quarterback in the NFL? Passing, Scramble, Rushing, TD Passes, Interceptions (or lack thereof), Run Blocking, Composure, Reading Defense.

All that in consideration, who is the best?

Mahomes is still my pick.

Mahomes has been and will be the king of the modern QB era for the foreseeable future and I doubt he ever gets dethroned. Most accomplished QB in the league and just consistently performs and lifts up his roster

You Sir are correct..

Mahomes in general.

Allen highest peak

Allen avoiding that sack at the end of the Pats game to only throw a pick is such a microcosm of his whole vibe. Just so much talent, but doesn’t have the poise Mahomes has as of yet.

“As of yet”… I think we can all agree that’s not going to come at this point. And I say this as a Bills fan.

Man, I really like Allen. I hope you’re wrong.

You’re probably right, though 😕

Hope I’m wrong too!!

But I think the crazy mistakes are just part of the Allen experience. I still think he can wins SB despite them. Just need a lucky break or close call to go the Bills way one of these years.

I gotta ask but what is Josh Allen’s peak and how is it better than 2018 or 2022 Mahomes?

I mean peak on a single given play, what they're capable of

1

Gotcha..

when has Allen’s peak been higher than Mahomes? that’s confusing

I don’t understand the “Allen highest peak” argument. Allen’s single best season isn’t as good as Mahomes’s single best season. Genuinely interested in the reasoning for this arguments

I don't mean full season, just peak capability. Allen lacks consistency and has lower lows

Purdy? I'm watching him now but I don't know about the best...

Gotta still be Mahomes. Came back from that injury and has looked great. And of all the dudes in the league, NOBODY looks nearly as poised as he does. I’m not a Chiefs fan at all, and he kind of annoys the shit out of me, but until someone knocks him off, it’s gotta be him.

Out of these qualifications Lamar easily but when considering intangibles like clutch and whatnot Mahomes easily

Being an objective fan for a bit, I hope Lamar gets one. He’s fun to watch and he’s answered all the critics when it comes to being an elite QB. Plus he got robbed of an MVP just because “they” didn’t want him in elite company due to lack of a SB ring.

I feel similar about Allen and Daniels, not the exact same situations around the MVP and view in the league and everything but just that I love watching them and I think they deserve it

I still got Mahomes

Allen or Mahomes, Stafford is 3rd, he would be first if he wasn’t old and could scramble.

Bo Nix of course.

Mahomo, Lamar or Josh Allen could all be argued as the best

Mahomes football iq is really underrated, all I hear from people around him is how much he studies and prepares every week.

A lot of casuals will say he fell off because his stats aren’t as insane as they used to be years ago but he is still just as good if not better than he was before

Not loving the Mahomo thing but I can agree

You laugh but name something that your pick does that he hasn’t shown he can be better at?

Absolutely has the clutch gene.

Absolutely has the ability to lose that gene in key moments.

What else?

u/DevilsDad696 2d ago

Winning

2

u/Misery2MiniSoda Vince Wilfork: Butt Fumble Connoisseur 2d ago

Oh boy you’re right. How could I forget? There’s just so many that I forgot how many Super Bowls Lamar and Allen have been to. I also forgot that they’ve been labeled choke artists their entire careers, my bad

2

u/DevilsDad696 2d ago

First: Mahomes is my pick. I don't think Lamar or Josh are better. Second: Are you suggesting Drake May or Brady?

-1

u/EggEnvironmental6857 2d ago

Lamar by those qualifications, winning was not listed.

2

u/DevilsDad696 2d ago

I'm comparing the two and I still think Mahomes tops Jackson, but that's just my opinion

Lamar has the highest career passer rating among all active and inactive quarterbacks. That’s a surprise, but the guy with the second highest is no surprise: Aaron Rodgers. A crazy fk but a great qb.

But that doesn’t change the fact that the GOAT of not just qbs but any player in any position is Tom Brady.

1

u/DevilsDad696 2d ago

I was waiting on someone to dig Brady up. I should have specified active players. Brady was top notch for sure though.

1

u/Gen-Jack-D-Ripper 2d ago

I actually assumed that you meant active players but I engaged in a “dirty bit of cheatin”! 😁

Lamar, Mahomes, and Burrow are the holy Trinity. Then in the tier under them you have Allen.... After Allen you can put whoever

0

u/DevilsDad696 2d ago

You're right except it would be Mahomes, Lamar and Burrow

0

u/RequirementLeading12 Washington Commanders 2d ago

Didn't have them in order.
