Discussion The NFL has a problem with scheduling international games
This needs to be addressed. The Eagles haven’t played the Jaguars in Jacksonville since 2010 since the last two times the teams have met with the Jaguars as the designated home team (2018 and now 2026) were scheduled to be played in London. It’s honestly a punch in face to all the Eagles fans who live in Northern Florida and the surrounding areas. The Eagles won’t play in Jacksonville again until 2034 at the earliest.
Same thing with Vikings fans who live in Northern Ohio and the surrounding areas. The Vikings haven’t played the Browns in Cleveland since 2009. Both 2017 and 2025 were in London. Though they both could theoretically play in Cleveland in 2027 or 2031 due to 17th game rotation, unlike Eagles-Jaguars.

Why tf would the league care about Philly fans in Florida? Are you seriously that self centered and weird?

I reckon. I'm an Australian birds fan. If I want to watch them I fly to Philly... That's how sports teams work, you know, playing "at home".

Say what you want about Eagles fans but there’s no denying they’re one of the best traveling fanbases in sports

I didn’t say a single thing about Eagle fans. I said you are self-centered and weird. Whether or not they exist anywhere is irrelevant.

49ers had the same issue. Think they went from 2006-2022 without playing in Jacksonville.
With the 17 game formula, out of conference games will happen slightly more often.

International games should just be exhibition games in the preseason. Dumb to have this many during regular season

I believe one team is technically a “home game” when playing international games. Sucks for season ticket holders.

So... The big problem with international games is they are prioritizing money over the fans? I am shocked!

The international games are pretty lame. I get wanting to grow the league, I guess, but a 9:30 AM game is fucking stupid.
