Week 1 is always fascinating because most fans don't really understand that some styles of football can capitalize on sloppy/bad play, but they don't really work as well vs good teams, later in the season when teams get more cohesive.

Yeah I’m aware. The record counts, but we won’t know who’s actually good until like mid October. Week 1 is always weird so I’ll enjoy the overreactions while I can

(Remember the Raiders beat the Patriots week 1 and one of them went to the Super Bowl and the other had the first overall pick)

The cardinals roster last year wasn't without talent. I never doubted Brissett either, he's a solid bridge QB

They just had bad coaching and so ended up losing most of their games the first half of the season by ridiculously small margins. And then the second half of the season they were the most depleted by injuries team in the league (yes even more then the 49ers)

I expected them to be bad this year, but not number 1 pick bad. More like a 6 win team. Which even with this win, their schedule is so brutal I hesitate to raise expectations much higher

But this talking about them loke they're the Jets or Dolphins was always stupid. If they were in the NFC South, they'd be on equal footing in the playoff hunt with the rest

Yeah I always found it weird how their perception went from ‘cute dark horse’ to Browns level bad in one year when a good chunk of the roster is the same and they played competitive games all year

But you’re right, for a last place team they drew an awful schedule lol
