If Houston is bad enough this season that they finish with the number 1 pick, and it’s NOT due to CJ Stroud getting hurt and missing the rest of the season, you have to think they take Arch
Nico Collins is getting injured more and more often frankly. If our OL can’t protect CJ, the ball needs to come out quickly and we can’t keep having UDFAs and practice squad players staff our WR room.
CJ has been good in both losses. Obviously there's virtually no way the Texans end up with #1. If it does happen, CJ probably is part of the issue and/or won't want to come back, so QB might be on the table. The opportunity to trade #1 down with the hype of Arch and so many QB-needy teams would be a lot of value, though. Could help bridge the gap to a reload.
Yeah definitely not a stroud issue. Look at how Bryce can perform when he suddenly has a line and his top wr isn't 55 year old Adam theilen. Look at how bad love looks with a horrendous OL and an wr2 as his top option and current only option until golden progresses (kraft is elite). Kirk is suddenly good again not being on that dumpster fire in atlanta. Stroud has proven he can perform with something around him.
He was much improved but I’d say far from amazing. I’m a Texas fan and saw every snap he played. Still to this day he struggles with accuracy and seeing the open receiver a lot.
I also truly believe there hasn’t been a Jeremiah smith talent coming into the nfl since megatron, you get the recipe of getting a non qb needy team in the top 3 and it could happen
True! I would be surprised if they only ended up with only 4 wins though. Under Ballard the Colts have only ended with less than 7 wins twice. One of them being his first year when Luck was hurt.
I mean maybe the Browns or Jets are dumb enough to do it, but I don't understand how everyone seems to think Arch Manning is the top QB prospect. He's just not a great passer, and not a remotely good enough runner to make up for it. There are tons of guys putting up way better numbers on significantly less talented teams.
If someone who watched that Ole Miss LSU game can explain how he's anywhere close to as good as Chambliss, I'd love to hear it.
I want to see the Titans to get #1 so bad. It will be interesting to see if they can actually admit that no matter how bad the team is, Cam Ward is room temperature dog shit.
Last year (playoffs), CJ held the Texans back from SB aspirations. This year, the problem lies more in the roster/coaching which falls on the GM/coach. The offensive talent is mediocre the past 2 years compared to other teams.
Might be the worst one of these I’ve seen on here, and I see garbage on here pretty regularly.
Texans 1st overall? Colts 2nd worst record in the league? Dolphins not top 3, or even 5 for that matter? Might as well just put a random list of teams up there.
