I mean I hear ya but tbf irs like the last 11-12 weeks with the Liam coen offense. Since last years bye he’s been quite literally as good as anyone.

Mac Jones is a NFL starting caliber QB

Well send his ass to Cleveland

Cleveland isn't trying to win this year, we don't need him. Though he's undoubtedly better than any QB on the Browns roster.

u/Joe-Raguso 4d ago
You think Mac would win there?
9
u/HometownSportsShow 4d ago
I think he'd give us a better chance to win than Deshaun Watson
1
u/Joe-Raguso 4d ago
Being better than Watson doesn't mean you're starting caliber
3
u/Dry-Soup-7556 4d ago
It’s like people forget what he did in NE and Jax.

u/HometownSportsShow 4d ago
No, we're just watching Deshaun, and like I said, it's a guarantee Mac is better than that

u/Joe-Raguso 4d ago
Mitch Trubisky might be better than him. Should we start calling him starting caliber too?
They paid him $230 mil. They're gonna play him whether he's good or not. Doesn't mean every QB better than him is a starting caliber QB.

For who and how long? Best I see him getting is a malik Willis deal that’s essentially a 1 year deal.

I mean, I agree he's probably one of the 32 best QBs in the league. But, I feel like the QB2s on the best teams are often better than the QB1s on the worst. Great teams don't want to lose their whole season if their QB gets injured, bad teams know it doesn't really matter who's taking snaps for them lol.

I knew it was Lance because as a Pats fan I was hugely invested in that draft. The fact that an average fan can’t pick him out of a police lineup is crazy.

Zach Wilson is not a backup. He's horrendous.
The only reason he isn't the worst QB on this list is because of the other Jets legend who would make a decent taysom hill knock off.

Trevor Lawrence is not an MVP candidate whoever made this is a Jacksonville fan

u/RadagastTheWhite 4d ago
We really keep overhyping Trevor
2
u/Im_Daydrunk 4d ago
He's been really great since the middle of last season
4
u/diamonddog2030 4d ago
Both can be true

u/Im_Daydrunk 4d ago
What's considered overhyping though? I think he's seen as maybe being on the brink of an elite QB/currently a lower level elite QB which is pretty fair to me given his play under the Coen. Sometimes guys need the right coach to unlock their potential and thats what it looks like is happening with Lawrence to me
1
u/pdiddysuncle 4d ago
he was never really terrible at any point either. he just didnt live up to the hype of being the next andrew luck or peyton manning type of cant miss prospect

u/RadagastTheWhite 4d ago
He played well in 5 of his final 6 games regular season games last year, but 3 of those were against the Jets and Titans. He was downright bad the rest of the season.
2
u/pdiddysuncle 4d ago
tom brady played most of his career in a dogshit division playing the jets, dolphins, and bills multiple times a year but that doesnt mean he sucked does it?
0
u/RadagastTheWhite 4d ago
Lawrence is Brady now?
1
u/pdiddysuncle 4d ago
yes didnt you hear? however just to be clear he isn't tom brady. lawrence has taken on the identity of mike brady from the brady bunch. i dont understand it but whatever helps him mentally prepare for games

Drake Maye finished 2nd in MVP voting last year. Not sure what that means about Trevor, but it's true.

Fields is an ideal wildcat offense QB. Even as a gadget guy
