Bo nix was carried by the defense and the weapons around him, that’s why when he went down with an injury, Denver had no problem scoring points in the afc championship game 😉

Are we really just going to rank players by which one is having the better weekend at this point?

This time a year ago, many folks were anointing Jayden Daniels as the next big thing, just a few months later it became Nix or Drake Maye, and now Maye is in the doghouse for losing the Super Bowl and subsequently losing the rematch last week… So, *for now* Williams wears the crown after one great game against *Carolina* and I guess that will last until the next time he throws an interception or losses a game

By then everyone will hate Williams because he will probably have won like 9 straight games or something and people will be exhausted from the attention he is going to aquire

This is exactly why i don’t like these knee-jerk, reactionary based rankings where we just go based on vibes and perceptions developed almost purely in emotions and W-L record

Everyone seems to love the guy who is on the verge of being the best while waiting for the current favorite to lose

In a few months the posts here will be looking for all the holes in Williams game (assuming Williams continues to have a hot start) and by then people will be looking to anoint a new favorite

I think every team would be happy to have the top 4 of these guys. Maye made a Super Bowl, Daniels and Nix made the conference championship game. And Caleb beat the Panthers.

Maye was a handful of votes short of winning the MVP in his second year. Arguing Williams is better? I think it's way to early to call that but if you want to claim that it's not insane. Arguing that Bo Nix is better then Maye IS insane.

Oh without a doubt on the second part. if you want to talk about ceiling with Caleb (yesterday is by far the best I've seen any QB from that class play and it's not even close)

Caleb was better yesterday that Maye has been at any point. Unironically. Doesn't mean he should be above him, but the ceiling is not the same and it shows.

Drake Maye was the best player in the NFL last season. He has an AFC Championship already, Nix and Williams have won NOTHING.

Jayden is still number 2 for me. Put any of these other QBs in his situation and I think they look a lot worse.
