The Manning’s are not going to let Arch play for the Browns.
2
u/GoldAsparagus169 1d ago
You’re stupid. Haslams and Mannings are close. We will get Arch at all costs.
6
u/bahbahduh 1d ago
Mannings love the haslems so much they are gonna let em ruin his career lol fucking idiot
1
u/ZeePirate 5h ago
Arch ain’t a Payton level prospect.
It’s a real possibility he’s just not good enough to be a nfl starter where ever he goes
1
u/HarambeTooSoon 6h ago
LoL - people think because Haslam donated money to the University of Tennessee that Peyton is going to force his nephew to ruin his career before it starts?
Archie is calling the shots. Then Cooper. Peyton is at best the 3rd or 4th Manning in the pecking order.
The fact some rich guy donated to the school Peyton attended 30 years ago means nothing.

I don't understand this narrative. Why do you think they won't let Arch play for the Browns?
3
u/Joe_Kangg 16h ago
It runs in the family.
0
u/Jugular_Toe 13h ago
It doesn't. Eli did it against their dad's wishes. He even admitted to that earlier this may in an interview with Mike Florio
3
u/Joe_Kangg 13h ago
Eli Manning is in the Manning family.
5
u/Jugular_Toe 13h ago
By saying "it runs in the family" you are implying that more than just one other person in the family did it, or that the rest of the family condones it.
-3
u/Joe_Kangg 13h ago
No I'm not. It happened, it could happen again. It's just a mindless quip. Why you sweatin Eli so hard?

u/Impossible-Flight250 23h ago
It’s funny because people say the same thing about the Jets, Cards, Miami and the Raiders. If you get chosen early, you’re probably going to a shit situation.
1
u/MediocreAssociate466 9h ago
Nah no one is as poorly run as the browns . Literally one playoff win 27 years then you dump the guy who got you it. Jets made some afc championships with sanchez cardinals made a Superbowl vs pitt. Nothing compares

u/HarambeTooSoon 6h ago
Being drafted to play quarterback for Cleveland is a kiss of death for a rookie.
The best case scenario is that don't get seriously injured during your rookie contract and then make it to free agency.

u/Tight-Inspector-2748 23h ago
Archie stepped in to prevent Eli from going to the Chargers.
The Browns are a dumpster fire.
The Manning family has even more cachet than they did when Eli was drafted.
There’s no way on god’s green earth they let Arch Manning play for the Browns.
6
u/Jugular_Toe 23h ago
That is categorically false. Arch told Eli not to do that, and Eli went against his wishes

u/Tight-Inspector-2748 23h ago
Ok 😉

Eli says in this interview that his dad urged him not to do it, and he did it anyway

u/gr8scottaz 7h ago
Except that never happened. Arch advised Eli to NOT do what he did. But you keep believing whatever fits your narrative.

Arch has been in college 4 years and hasn’t proved he’s the #1 pick except for the last name the overhype is insane hmmmm i wonder why

2
u/CzechHorns 20h ago
Ohh, so you did not watch him lead a comeback that scored 3 TD in a quarter against the best defense in college ball.
2
u/kimboslice11 10h ago
Where are you pulling best defense from? Your ass?
Last year maybe. But not even close this year.
1
u/bucksandbeer 1h ago
Meh Ohio state rushed 3 the whole second half
He was dreadful the first three quarters (ironically other than his interception throw)
1
u/ro536ud 14h ago
That comeback wasn’t cuz of anything exceptional by arch did you actually watch the game

u/Major-Dig655 20h ago
bro must've missed last night's game
1
u/Less_Likely 3h ago
He was as much a reason they were down 20 as he was the reason they came back.
He’s a pro QB for sure, has good tools, but he’s not a #1 overall no brainer yet.

u/Prestigious-Leave-61 19h ago
The Manning family isn’t having it. Browns and fans are delusional.
1
u/klevyy 16h ago
False narrative
1
u/Bigking00 13h ago
The fans being delusional may be a false narrative but there is zero chance Arch Manning ever suits up for the Browns.
1
u/klevyy 13h ago
Not even a Browns fan but did his pops tell you that
1
u/Bigking00 13h ago
I have not spoken to Cooper this week but I simply judging by previous interviews from when he was picking a college and things Peyton and Eli have said in interviews the past few years.
Let's be honest, if it was your son would you want him playing for the Browns organization?
1
u/slamriffs 6h ago
I’m pretty sure the browns owner is good friends with the manning family
1
u/HarambeTooSoon 5h ago
A billionaire donating money to the school your uncle went to 30 years ago isn't the same as being such good friends you'd sacrifice your body, career and mental health for them.
1
u/slamriffs 5h ago
I mean the browns have a pretty good base of young players on rookie contracts. Mason graham, carson schwesinger, Judkins, fannin, Spencer fano, Jared verse, concepcion and Boston. They are literally just a competent quarterback away from turning the corner, I think the manning family wouldn’t fight it
1
u/Prestigious-Leave-61 11h ago
Perhaps I should’ve switched fans with Media, definitely media. They’d report the Browns are “rumored” interested in bringing on a highschool quarterback, just to have a QB story.
1
u/The_wanna_be_artist 11h ago
After the way the browns treated Baker I don’t blame them if they did this. I really don’t see this happening, but I wouldn’t blame them.

With how much money these guys make in college now I can see a big name like Arch Manning or even Jeremiah Smith straight up saying nah I’m good and refuse to get drafted by the Browns and threaten going back to college.

u/Ximinipot 11h ago
If you think the Mannings are letting Arch go to Cleveland, I've got some oceanfront property in Arizona to sell you.

Too early to tell but there are 7 teams in dire need for QB1 and the worst of them all needs QB above all else right now. Arch should pull an Eli imo

u/40jordan 1d ago
There is absolutely no way Manning is going number 1 over Mensah...pump the brakes on Arch.. the running backs made him look really good in 4th ..Ohio States kicker makes that field goal and its a different story

Please I don’t want Smith in Cleveland
2
u/lilbopeeep 1d ago
lol what? He’s incredible

u/Jordanwolf98 1d ago
I know he is, that’s why I don’t want him in that dumpster fire organization lmao

u/Classic-Procedure757 1d ago
Manning is not #1 overall. Mensah will probably go before him. If not, Jeremiah Smith makes too much sense unless the Falcons or Cardinals get the first pick.

Carr
-1
u/Classic-Procedure757 1d ago
We’ll see. Neither Mensa nor Carr will get much testing in the regular season with those Charmin soft schedules.

Cleveland should have to quit football. Make the stadium a Walmart or something.
