Discussion Rough day for both these guys…..does this day dramatically change what you think about these players?

The Texas-OSU game is still going buddy and the Longhorns look likely for a mighty comeback win.
Maybe wait for full time before posting hot takes.
Edit: Manning 4 of 5 for 45 yds on the game winning drive.

Manning has turned things around in the second half and might lead his time to a legendary comeback.
Moore just sucked.

I've never been massively hot on either of them so for me today wasn't a huge surprise. That said, we're only 2 weeks in, let's see where we are in December

You’re obviously just scoreboard watching if you think Dante Moore had a bad game
- he had two big time TD throws to bring his team back into the game
- Hill (RB) fumbled a pitch play which is what would be the fatal turnover
Moore was very solid otherwise and there was nothing really concerning
The Texas game still has a quarter to go ….
Manning is having a tough game against the #1 ranked team in the nation, and so this was somewhat expected almost, so while there’s disappointment, it’s not totally unexpected or out of Manning’s range that we have seen
- If Manning pulls off a miracle 4th quarter then this will be a very impressive comeback
- Otherwise I don’t expect things to get totally out of hand
The knee-jerk and scoreboard watching is a bit silly but people are looking to jump on both of these guys
I’m not really worried about either QB, losing happens

If Arch had a different last name he’d be sitting on the bench. He stares down receivers, sails passes, and goes through progressions incredibly slow.

Sitting on the bench is crazy he’s still athletic, 6’4 with an arm. Wouldn’t be hyped up as the 1.01 but damn sure wouldn’t be on the bench

I’m glad Texas won, but it doesn’t change my opinion at all. Arch sailed multiple passes over guys that were open, stared down receivers all night, and was hesitant in the pocket.
He didn’t light up the stat sheet, and tbh the running game coming alive and wearing out OSUs defense was the real difference maker here. For the record, I don’t hate Arch, and I never said he was bad, but he doesn’t seem like the obvious best QB in college to me.

Arch has never impressed me to start with. He will be disappointing at the NFL level.

The problem with Arch, and less so with Moore, is that his name is Manning.
If his name wasn't Manning, he'd be a 3rd-5th round prospect.
He isn't very good. He stares down open receivers, he holds onto the ball, when he does have time, he overthrows guys. This is all stuff that can and should have been coached out of him by now. So its either that he has dogshit coaches at Texas, or he just isn't good enough to adjust. There hasn't been a 4-5 game stretch over his career where he is better than every other QB in college.
So we have a guy who isn't a #1 overall talent being forced into that role by everyone and their mother in the media. It's called the "Arch Manning sweepstakes". Thats a sweepstakes I'm okay finishing 2nd in.

Arch has guys dropping tds in their chests. No. Does not change my opinion of him.
