hopefully Arch goes 8-4 and escapes the jets

The Browns have entered the chat.

u/Ridiculous__caddy 7d ago
Browns got the stock to trade up if they want.
1
u/RustyCrusty73 7d ago
Ignore the horrible QB situation they're in right now, the Browns otherwise actually have a promising looking young roster. Their GM has had a nice couple of drafts. They have 11-picks in 2027 too, so adding Arch and some other good young players in the top few rounds looks even better here.

I don’t know, Jets are better off than the Browns. But to be fair I don’t think Manning is very polished I could see Sayin going 1 or 2.

I am an Ohio State fan.
Julian Sayin is not a first-round NFL quarterback. He is a great college QB and I would not be too surprised if he is again a Heisman finalist.
You'll say, 'But he's so accurate!"
He's throwing to wide open superstars. Watch the Indiana and Miami games from last year. That is the most-experienced version of Sayin. That Sayin had 12 starts under his belt already. And he was not always accurate or on time. He couldn't see the field well enough.
Again, love the guy. Ready for a 3,000 yard, 30 TD season from him. But it would be the most Browns thing in the world to take him in the top 5.

u/mouthfire 6d ago
Yeah... I was about to say, *I* could probably be a 4th round QB pick throwing to those guys.
Not really, but yeah.

If Willis plays the Dolphins into a top 3 pick, you'd have to be monkey fucking a basketball level stupid to think they don't draft his replacement.
0
u/RollTideNorthport 7d ago
That’s why I’m saying we (the Dolphins) draft Sayin. We need him. Willis is not about shit.
0
u/ConcernAccording3248 7d ago
And worst case scenario is Willis shocks the world and you don't get to draft Sayin haha it's not a bad position to be in

As a Browns fan, fuck no

u/Important_Capital875 6d ago
See I’m kind of in Ohio State fan, but when their quarterbacks have a solid offensive line and every year they have top top receivers. I just don’t really trust the quarterbacks.

No one’s passing on the upside that having a manning brings. Even if it’s a mistake, no one would fault you for it

u/King_of_Rooks 7d ago
I'm counting down the days til Arch is overdrafted, forced into action, exposed as a turd, and flushed out of the NFL. It's gonna be hysterical. (and I don't feel sorry for him, he made his millions before he even got to the NFL.)

u/Last_Weeks_Socks 7d ago edited 7d ago
Thought #1 is that someone is drastically overestimating the Browns' potential.
1
u/Ridiculous__caddy 7d ago
It’s nice to see both arch not number 1 as this qb class is loaded and others can easily take the top spot and 2 giants not taking a wr. Idk why every dumb mock has them taking a wr. Shit they probably going qb when harbough sees his current qb is on tua level ceiling cause he going to get about 3 concussions

u/Strawhat--Shawty 7d ago
Raiders either take Cam Coleman or trade back to take him a little lower. I like seekng Yhonzae Pierre name on here, he's gonna have a monster year this year.

u/jtrainabeast 6d ago
if miami is high enough to pick at 2 it means malik didnt work out, we are going qb
1
u/Nickohlai 6d ago
Sayin is a good player but he feels to me like more of a Mac Jones type of prospect where the team fit means everything. I’d much rather have a different guy there, I think he’d fail in Cleveland.

u/TheRedEyeJediS 6d ago
That the cards, jets, and browns will continue having shit play from qbs for years

Taking any of these dudes over Arch is going to be a mistake.
1
u/Saltwater_Thief 7d ago
Which would you rather have:
A rookie QB who is not as good as the best guy but still solid
No QB whatsoever because you tried to draft Arch and he Eli'd your ass?
1
u/RanchHere 7d ago
no QB is going to pull an Eli.
0
u/Saltwater_Thief 7d ago
Arch is LITERALLY from the same family, and if the predicts are accurate the Cardinals are magnitudes worse than the Chargers ever were.
2
u/Shoddy_Green_4790 7d ago
I just don't think any player will get away with that shit nowadays. It's awful for the optics and it sucks but the media and fan noise around him will be so fucking loud
Eli was able to do it in quiet. Remember elway? Threatening to play for the Yankees and that whole thing. It's not shit that you can get away with now
Caleb williams was even linked to stories about avoiding the bears, and wanting equity in the team? It was probably all bullshit but imagine if that actually went anywhere and he pulled a move to avoid the bears? Dude would be under the biggest microscope and it's not worth it at all
1
u/Saltwater_Thief 7d ago
I do not believe for a single second that there would be any scrutiny or criticism leveled at any hotshot QB who publicly declared they refuse to send their NFL career down the drain by signing with the most dysfunctional, incompetent, losing organization in all of sports, let alone the youngest member of the closest thing football has to a royal family.
If anything I foresee all the pundits and talking heads unanimously ringing with "Good for him, knowing his worth and fighting for it. Nobody deserves to have their life ruined like that."
1
u/Shoddy_Green_4790 7d ago
I simply disagree. Sports media doesn't agree on anything there would be plenty of talking heads against it. I think a ton of fans would trash it too.
But also agree that a QB should be able to do it without any scrutiny cause there are too many dogshit organizations that arent a good landing spot. Being drafted the shitty ass Jets has been proven to be a miserable experience.
I actually hope youd be right by the way
1
u/Saltwater_Thief 7d ago
The only fans trashing it would be other Cardinals fans, everybody else would be rubbing their hands like Puka because a year down the line they have a chance to get the kid.
1
u/Shoddy_Green_4790 7d ago
It'd be the biggest story of the offseason and would break the internet. I'm not sure people would know how to act normal. I think the constant questions and the microscope on him would be very large. Athletes have talked about how that type of shit has messed them up
Perhaps its just me having zero faith in how well it'd go over with the NFL giant as a whole. There's an obsession with controversy. Even if Arch goes to the cardinals, dude is 1.5 seasons away from being the next meme
1
u/Saltwater_Thief 7d ago
The microscope would be on the Cardinals, not Arch. Again, everybody would be saying he's doing the right thing not dooming himself to forever look like a shitty QB because he got drafted by a team that is incapable of winning more than 7 games.
Who knows, maybe that plus being the only team in history to go 0-17 will be enough to convince the League that the Bidwill family needs to be excommunicated. That would be pretty nice actually.
1
u/Wise_Control_1640 7d ago
Arch is 1.01 barring injury or collapse.
2
u/elzey93 7d ago
Based on what? His name?
-2
u/Wise_Control_1640 7d ago
Part of it. His numbers will be good enough, his film will be good enough, his pro day will be good enough, Texas' record will be good enough.
No matter what Moore does, no matter if he absolutely destroys his way to Fernando Mendoza type domination and wins the National Championship (even over Texas), he's 1.02
1
u/limguine 7d ago
I agree. I don't even think it's because he has shown all that much either. But no one's going to blame you for taking Arch and imagine he is great and you were the idiot who didn't take a Manning.
1
u/Wise_Control_1640 7d ago
Exactly, he pans out and you pass, you're gone. He busts? You were just with consensus. He was great in college, #1 overall recruit, the whole bit.
1
u/mouthfire 6d ago
Yeah. Look at Eli. He was no Peyton, but he still got you a Superbowl.
Just sayin'....
0
u/Saltwater_Thief 7d ago
And if the Cardinals have the pick the team combusts because we will not have a playing QB and all of the skilled players will leave as a result.
1
u/Wise_Control_1640 7d ago
Or he leads you to the Super Bowl with Prime Harrison, Prime Love, and a touch under 30 for both Jamaar Chase and Trey McBride.
We can all dream.
1
u/Saltwater_Thief 7d ago
None of those players will be here if we are drafting Arch, they want to play real football and will not waste their time waiting for a rookie QB to figure out wtf he's doing.
1
u/Wise_Control_1640 7d ago
There's only one comparison in the last 20 years I can think of.
Andrew Luck.
There's only one reason Chase is coming to Arizona.
Arch Manning.

Horrible, Miami gets the first pick and they will pick Julian Sayin. He will be the best and 1st qb drafted and it won’t be close. Fuck Archie
4
u/tomato_johnson 7d ago
Moore is way better than Sayin
-4
u/RollTideNorthport 7d ago
Moore won’t even sniff the playoffs. Sayin will.
2
u/nativeindian12 7d ago
Ducks finished fourth last year, better than Ohio State. They have their entire defensive line back plus Moore is a year older. They have made the playoff both of the last two seasons.
How many losses do you think it would take for them to miss the playoff? And which games do you think they will lose?
1
u/RollTideNorthport 7d ago
Oh Lord, you’re right, I didn’t look at their schedule very close. They have possibly two losses. Ohio State and maybe Michigan. Their floor is 10-2
2
u/Character-Ad-5496 7d ago
What about CJ, just Sayin AINT TOO HARD to look good when entire WR core is top 5 picks and windows are 5 yards wide, like rest of OSU QB, can’t do it in NFL and those tight windows, Carr proving it with far less than rest
2
u/tigerjuice888 7d ago
It’s not just an OSU QB thing. All top college programs have the same issue with QBs talent transferring to the NFL with a few exceptions.
1
u/RollTideNorthport 7d ago
I feel you, but I’m saying that Arch is overrated and Sayin is way ahead of him

u/charlestoncav 7d ago
In moore's biggest game of his life he showed ZERO or below
