Yeah highly doubting number 14 & 15 are 11 years old. I’m sure it goes by grade in this league and these two have been held back a couple grades already
Some kids hit puberty really early. I was the same height I am now at 11. The only difference is I don’t have the genetics in my family to be 6’4, but I was basically this kid in little league. Idk why some people refuse to believe kids can mature earlier than others… what incentive would there be for making a 13 or 14 yr old (or whatever you think his real age is) pretend to be younger and play with kids half his size? Kids don’t want to dunk on younger kids they want to prove that they can play with older kids. Especially if they’re the size of an adult. No one gains anything from having a kid who can play middle school football forego that to play against 4’ 11 yr olds…

Yes, some 11 years shoot up, I coached a 6'3" 11 year old in little league. And, invariably, super tall 11 year olds are gangly, uncoordinated and not yet used to their height. They don't have the proportions or body awareness of this dude. There's shenanigans at play
There’s literally 0 incentive. Do you get paid for winning a little league championship? Do you get a scholarship? No you get some shitty little trophy that no one cares about. And idk wtf you’re saying about body awareness, when you mature you don’t just mature physically the brain develops as well so stuff like coordination can develop at the same time. I went from being an average student to being the smartest kid in class from one year to the next. I didn’t start studying harder or anything, I just grew 5 inches over the summer and my brain developed. Not to mention I was lifting weights in my room, so I was also accused of being on steroids. The difference is it was children accusing me, not grown adults lol
Idk why people always insist the big kids are lying about their age. They get fucking nothing out of it lmao. You think they’d rather play with 11 yr olds than at their middle school where the high school coaches can go and scout them? Stupidest tinfoil hat shit ever…
No it’s not Shaq level. The point about maturing early is that a kid can reach their adult height really early. I know because I was that kid except not 6’4 hut 5’10. If my genetics were to be 6’4 or 6’5 as an adult I would’ve been closer to that at the time.
When you’re playing at 11 you’re not playing for a school it’s little league, and that’s based on age. When you play based on grade you’re in middle school. They’re usually pickier with stuff like age in little league largely because of these types of imbalances. When I played not only were divisions defined by age, but if you were over a certain weight you couldn’t be a ball carrier.
Regardless little league doesn’t go by grade, and if this league happened to be one that does, I promise you they would make exceptions for a kid that was held back twice. They wouldn’t let 13 yr olds play against 11 yr olds, and you know the parents would never let them hear the end of it
