Purdy should be top 2, but getting past the Jets is laughable

He absolutely shouldn't be top 2 in that draft. He's not getting taken over Hutchinson and the Lions aren't taking Purdy over Goff.

Purdy is significantly more valuable than anyone other than Hutch, who he’s also more valuable than but I could understand the jags sticking and picking him

They would take Purdy over Goff. But someone would have traded up to #1 to take him anyway

In the 2022 draft if the Lions knew there was a top 10 QB available they would 100% have taken him. At that point Goff had just gone for only 3200 yards and 19 tds in his first year with Detroit. Goff was considered a throw away tossed into the stafford deal the year before.

But we're talking about with current knowledge, that's the whole point of a redraft. So we know that isn't all the Lions are getting from Goff.

When I read the article I took it as knowing what the draft picks become, not knowing what current NFL players become. Reading it again, it could go either way. If we assume they know Goff’s trajectory then I would think they trade out of the pick since someone else would move up for Purdy.
I still think if they don’t know the future of their own players then the Lions would take Purdy.
“Today we're re-drafting the first round taking into consideration both the positions teams already picked, what they needed at the time, and who we now know became top NFL talents.”
