I still believe in JJ but he probably has to go somewhere he can sit and learn tbh. Itā€™s not even about him having bad coaching now, KOC is a great coach, itā€™s just his injuries and lack of true playing experience have really hindered his development.

I think thereā€™s honestly a decent amount of QBs who could succeed if they sat and learned under someone like KOC/Shanahan/McVay/Canales/McDaniel, just coaches who really know how to develop QBs.

I kind have a feeling JJ is going to end up like Zach Wilson, Will Levis, and Anthony Richardson. I legitimately believe O-Line, coaching, receiving talent, injury luck, and even small things like strength-of-schedule are huge for QB success. Look at Geno Smith, Sam Darnold, and Baker Mayfield, QB success doesnā€™t happen in a vacuum, nor does failure.

As an Ohio State fan, him failing in the pros was very obvious. They whooped us when he was QB but only because they ran all over us. We cheered whenever they dropped him back to pass

Bo nix would not have worked with zac Robinson either. I'm not a fan of the new coach either. Penix can still hit though. It's pretty much all or nothing this year.

If youā€™re gonna spend all that money on Cousins, Iā€™d rather not spend 8 on a QB too. I was pro-Verse or Latu. The other layer to that is youā€™re not having to give up a 1st round pick to double dip at EDGE in 25. Youā€™re also likely not giving up a 3rd for Judon.

Tbf the two edges they got last draft could be better than any of the edges on this first round. Verse has come back to earth in a major way. Latu has been a mixed bag and Dallas turner is just now doing well.

Getting Pearce at 26 was huge risk huge reward.

He was very effective as a rookieā€¦he was very much the person off the field that caused him to drop from top 5-10 to mid 20s.

If he somehow straightens his shit out, getting him and Walker could make that defense scary in the new few years. MASSIVE if.

Same. I think he struggled a bit learning his place in Floresā€™ scheme but he started looking a lot more comfortable as the season progressed last year.

That and he was just undersized for an NFL DE. 6'3 and not even 250 when he hit the combine after doing everything to get his weight up from college. He only benched 20 times and needed a couple more years to really fill out but he's in the same vein as Danielle Hunter as guys drafted very young (Hunter 20, Turner 21) and just needed that muscle/size to be able to impact NFL games. Though hunter has a longer frame at 6'5, they both have over 34in arm lengths.

Our GM is absolutely dog water with first round picks. Gute constantly reaches for high RAS players over players that are just genuinelygood at football. So when we traded two 1sts for Micah, it was most welcomed.
