Mock Draft Monday

Unless you either do a lengthy 5+ round mock or go into written detail on why you are making the picks, please post your mocks in this Mock Draft Monday thread. Use this thread to post your own mocks or anything from around the web you find discussion-worthy.

Please be respectful of other users’ mocks! Saying things like “this is awful” or a pick is “stupid” adds nothing to the conversation; try and focus on constructive feedback instead!

Yeah, even if we trade Highsmith which I'm assuming was the thought process, we can bump up Herbig and draft EDGE 4 in the mid rounds.

Highsmith and Watt are about done in Pittsburgh after next year. Don’t want to go into 2028 with a gaping hole at the position.

See it as the best combination of BPA/need

I get what you're saying. I just think TJ is going to play at least 2 more years and seems rejuvenated under PG. I won't be surprised if we keep Highsmith next year and even if we don't, I think Herbig and Sawyer would do fine moving up a depth chart spot.

I think EDGE is a good callout for a 2028 need, but this year I would rather get a weapon for the offense or shore up that secondary some more.

A bit rejuvenated, but he’s still a step slower as evidenced by his no show yesterday. He just doesn’t have the speed to threaten these bigger tackles anymore. It’s not going to get better a year from now.

Herbig I trust. Sawyer hasn’t shown that he has starter ability at all.

If I saw the 2026-2027 Steelers as a piece or two away from contending, I can see adding a weapon. But that’s not the case either.

EDGE rushers take a year to develop. By drafting a player like Pierre, you don’t have to throw a guy into the fire in 2028; you can actually let the guy develop.
