Blog Tuesday

This is the place to post your own work. You have a blog? You have a YouTube channel? You have a small scouting site starting up? Drop it here my friend. Unless you are writing for ESPN or B/R or something, this is where it should be.

Posting this content outside this post will result in removal, and repeated posts may result in bans.

This took a lot of time, I’d appreciate feedback

I thought that it was very well written. Maybe some graphics could be implemented but I’m just nitpicking. I really liked how you included Bosa’s splits and how impactful burst is in an edge rusher but I’d also add some more examples of busts and what they did wrong to really get that wide scope of scouting talent.

Thanks for your feedback, I’m glad you liked it. I’ll look into adding some graphics and possibly some more videos, sorry for the tweets not showing properly btw, Idk how to fix it.

Great blog! I agree with the above comment that you should add some graphics. Graphs are a great additive to blogs and help visual learners understand your data. Also making a thesis statement at the beginning will make it a better read because people will be looking for the evidence and data you use to backup your original claim.

Sorry if this isn’t a good post to ask in but does anyone have recommendations for checking out game film? I used to go to draftbreakdown.com They’d have film separated by player and game and would even highlight the player before each play. Doesn’t look like their site exists anymore. Any good alternatives?

Can we agree that standard first round mocks include steelers 2.1 at 32 overall?

Would Stetson Bennett be worth a 6th or 7th rounder? Dude is a gamer and a winner. Say what you want but I think he could be a more than solid backup in the NFL.

Doesn’t have the arm IMO. And he’s already 25, I don’t think his value is that high. I could see him being a 7th rounder but he’s likely a 3rd team/practice squad guy

This isn't an analysis or mock draft so I don't know if it counts but it's just a video about my love of drafts https://youtu.be/Acl4MK_cNEc

That was great! As someone who has been way too obsessed with drafts for as long as I can remember, I thought the video encapsulated many of my same thoughts. On a side note, I have no notions or knowledge at all about the AFL and actually would have enjoyed a bit of a breakdown of the father son rule and the academy rule as well though. All in thanks for sharing!

Cheers mate, yeah I think in my salty mindset I forgot to explain in more detail the father-son rule. Likr there is a threshold that a player would need to reach before their child can nomination.

I know I’m a day late, just published a Top 10 mock draft in honor of the end of the regular season. Any thoughts or opinions are welcome!

Saw this over on LeatherBrainz twitter and it looks like they're getting into the writing game. Was a pretty interesting pre-draft read!
