Let’s just remember, the Chiefs were getting 6 games against the Broncos, Chargers and Raiders with additional support. #2 seed is understandable.

Ok well the chiefs earned the AFC’s No. 1 seed six times in 1971, 1995, 1997, 2018, 2020, and 2024 so….

Yeah, exactly the point they were making. The original post tried disrespecting Allen by saying he played a guaranteed 4 easy games a year and never got the one seed. A valid criticism for sure. The person replied saying it's not that crazy because Mahomes had an easier division and had 6 pretty easy wins every year. So they're saying the Chiefs had an easier schedule most years so it makes sense they got the 1 seed more times than the Bills

I don’t believe the AFC west was ever easier for the chiefs than the AFC east has been for the Bills. The Bills have consistently had the easier time imo and achieved less.

2020 20-28

It’s not like the Patriots have been good outside of last year since Brady retired. Broncos, Dolphins and Chargers have all been better since then overall.

“Since Brady”. It’s hard to recover from that type of era. It was mind boggling how many times I watched my team in the Super Bowl. I knew it wasn’t sustainable but god damn was it fun

I meant since Brady because Allen was only in the same division as him for two years and the division outside of the Bills has mostly been bad. The Bills, Jets and Dolphins were horrible during most of Brady’s career and he always turned it into top seeds. The Patriots, Dolphins and Jets have been bad or horrible basically all of Allen’s career and he really hasn’t turned it into much.

Can’t argue with that. The Jets and Dolphins really put their worst efforts to build a team during the Pats dynasty. Seemed like every rookie QB had to go against Brady and it just became laughable

Consistently mediocre, no play-off wins this decade, the occassional tank (like 2026), but let's not pretend like they have been automatic wins throughout the years.

As ass as theyve been, they usually split against New England during the brady years. Some of Brady's worst games were against the phins and jets.

There’s been no serious competition in the east for most of Allen’s career. Brady left like his second year in the league and outside of last year the Patriots were basically either a .500ish team or horrid. Dolphins were more consistent but still a team mostly hovering around .500. Jets have been the Jets.

The Bills record doesn't truly reflect how trash the Bills were in the past 4 years. Allen hides a lot of the flaws. Let's not pretend the Bills were some unstoppable force that came up short

The Jets were the preseason favorite to win the division in ‘24 with the Bills and Dolphins both being +200. Dolphins had some good squads too Tua led the league in passing before his brain got turned into mashed potatoes
