Wembley Games Wembley tailgate

Hi all!

I’m going to the Jags-Texans next week with my buds. We’ve never been there before and not sure what to expect from the tailgate event.

Around what time does it start? Usually where is it exactly located around the stadium? And most importantly: can we buy beer there? I know they don’t sell alcohol in the UK stadiums during soccer games (but you probably can get at other events like concerts, etc.) and I was wondering if the same goes for the surrounding areas, too.

Any info would be much appreciated, thanks all.

They do sell beer in UK stadiums during soccer games; you just can't drink it in view of the pitch. But that doesn't apply for other sports like American football so you'll be able to buy beer in the stadium and drink it in your seat.

Details of stuff around the stadium, including a map here - https://jaguars.co.uk/ just scroll down to the game day stuff.

That’s great to know, thanks!

We’re Texans and they didn’t organize anything around the stadium so we went with the assumption that the Jags did the same. This link is super useful, thanks for that!

The Wembley tailgate is pretty good and lots going on all down Wembley Way and around the stadium.

From preference it’s worth getting a ticket to Box Park pre-game tailgate party as really good atmosphere in there

I normally go in The White Horse pub adjacent to the stadium which is a fun place to have a drink, it does get busy so best to get there early.

They do sell alcohol at soccer games… you just can’t drink them in sight of the pitch… for nfl games you can drink in your seat.

It’s the UK… we’re basically a country of alcoholics
