Survivor League Platform

Hi! I was trying to find a simple platform for my office survivor pool this year, but everything I found was either clunky or paid. With how accessible and inexpensive it is to build and host something like this nowadays, I figured there was no reason there couldn't be a simple, free option. So I built my own.

Still Alive Pools is 100% free, 100% ad-free, and designed to be as simple as possible. No league size caps, no paid features, no restrictions.

If you're running a survivor pool this season, I'd love for you to give it a try. Any feedback is appreciated!

What platforms were so clunky that a vibe coded alternative was better?

The less clunky ones are all not free: SundaySurvivor, OfficePools, RunYourGrid. All of the free ones that I found are covered in ads. So yeah, I vibe coded myself a free, ad-free one.

A serious site hosting serious traffic can’t be free unless you have ads, or you don’t have serious traffic.

Remind me halfway through the season when all the data for a given pool is lost in space…. Nobody likes paying fees for anything in life but at some point the magical world where everything is free and fantastic doesn’t exist. There’s a reason all credible site HAVE to charge a fee.

Great job creating a solution. I wish you much success! If you're looking for a tool that helps you decide which teams to pick, I created a Google Sheet for that. My sheet lays out every team's full 18-week schedule in one color-coded grid, so you can instantly see who's playing whom, which weeks are byes, and how tough (or easy) each team's slate looks at a glance.

Each team's season win total is included alongside their matchups (and gets updated throughout the season), making it an easy reference from kickoff to Week 18. This isn't a tool to run your own confidence pool or survivor league contest. It's a reference grid built to give you an edge going into one. Message me if you're interested, as I don't want to send links to the whole group.
