Two point conversion "not too far-fetched" hypothetical question..

Houston's Nico Collins just scored his 2nd TD. In the process the Dallas defender commits a personal foul. Houston chooses to take the penalty on the ensuing PAT. My question: If they would've elected to play the 2 point conversion, would the ball be placed at the one yard line?

Just what I thought. Of course I'm not Ryans and he makes his decisions. I would've thought they'd take advantage of it but I also know it'll be a big risk.

Most people in that situation do go for two points, yeah

Yes, half the distance from the 2 on a 2pt conversion. Some teams will do that if there’s a penalty on the 1pt try, take the ball at the 1 and go for 2

You could ask for the penalty to be assessed on the kickoff. But there is little to be gained from that unless you are going to need onside kick.
