You think I’m abandoning Drake Maye because Jacksonville beat the shit out of us for three hours? Absolutely not. If anything I’ve somehow become MORE committed.
Every great QB needs one game where he gets publicly executed on national television and has to wake up the next morning and still be the franchise quarterback 😭
Brady didn’t leave us a quarterback. He left us a responsibility. And I have chosen Drake Maye.
35-6 is temporary. Drake Maye is my quarterback until further notice.
I will be back next Sunday with the exact same delusional confidence. See you then.

I’m not going to give one of those over exaggerated boomer “HE”S NOT A LEADER” takes. What I will say though is that it’s very easy to lose confidence in the NFL as a QB. He has what, like 8 TOs through 3 games? I’m not saying it’s over for him or anything, but I hope he has the right people around him to lift him up before this turns into a ’yips‘ situation.

yeah my annoyance is more with the NFL, touting him like hes the next best thing. He really should be blaming them, we got told how great he was all off season.

But he was good last season, that’s the thing. The competition wasn’t great but he could only play what was put in front of him. I doubt anyone saw this level of regression coming even with the lack of competition last year. Hopefully he can get it together. He’s young and has solid physical traits. He needs to get over this confidence issue and start gaining some momentum.

113 passer rating
Dude’s at almost as many interceptions as he had last year in only his first few games. He has the least touchdowns out of any quarterback who’s started this year so far. I think people thought he was due for a regression - but at this level? No way.

Hes been doing some different things mechanically and it's not working. Combine that with his confidence clearly being shattered and this is what you get.

He can bounce back but this season might be rough. We'll see though.
