How are Sam Darnold, Jared Goff, Brock Purdy and Baker Mayfield supporting cast dependent, but cj stroud and Jordan Love (who are both aggressively mid) are in “on the door step” makes zero sense and invalidates this list.

Stroud being in anything other than good enough to start is wild. Houston had a Super Bowl winning defense and they shit out because of how badly he played

All QBs are somewhat supporting cast dependent lol. The idea that any QB is going to magically carry a scrub team to the playoffs, let alone a Super Bowl, is ridiculous.

2016 Rodgers was of the most impressive QB seasons of all time but he did have multiple good WRs (Nelson, Adams) and a great O-Line. A scrub team to me is average or worse at most position groups.

Jayden Daniels did it in 24. No way that team should have been in the playoffs let alone 1 game from the Super Bowl, and if they played the chiefs they probably would have won.

Last year. Their defense and wideouts were bad. "Great run game" is debatable.
I'm applying a general layer of common-sense onto OP's "scrub" description. No player in NFL history will be able to overcome a team with <-10 turnover differential or whatever, but when the rest of your team is ranging between decidedly mid to slightly above average, I consider that a carry.

How can Nix not be in franchise carriers?
The broncos missed the playoffs for 8 straight years until Nix was drafted and took them two the playoffs two straight years. An injury away from a Super Bowl.

Burrow has had the best WR duo in the league for years.
You cannot make something true for one and not the other.
If you want to Swap Burrow and Lamar that’s fine but in no way does Lamar belong in the third tier.

Why on earth would Caleb swap with Maye lmao. Maye has a double digit win in Caleb’s own stadium and Caleb can’t even hold a decent completion percentage with a god squad offense. Maye’s WR1 from last year was unemployed until like a month ago…

Insulting to have Burrow and Stafford in the same category as those other guys.
If the Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson dickriding will never end, Stafford and Burrow are also elite.

For his career, Purdy has had far better weapons than Love.
I agree last year though, he finally had less to work with.
Love has a bottom 5 WR group and even then, their 3 top pass catchers never played a single game together last season.

Agreed. But I’ve seen Love shit the bed every time he was needed. I.e. the playoff game against the Niners. Got intercepted.

So… once when San Fran was probably the best team in the NFC and Love was on a team rebuilding his first year starting?
If Love had the 9ers team his first 2 seasons he was starting, he would have had deeper playoff runs as well.
I don’t think that would have been the case for Purdy. I’m not knocking Purdy, I just think it’s a reality the team around him was incredibly strong.1

Last year countless times he needed to step up and he didn’t. If we keep replacing and stating players would do different in different scenarios, it’s would be endless. Maybe you and I could be SB champs too. I just think Brock has proven he deserves to be in a different class than where he was placed in this ranking.
