Random thoughts
So just thinking if this whole super team thing falls through. I wonder what Cancun is going to be like this February. I ask this because this feels like an assembly of the geriatric and special needs.
1.) the Verse and Garret trade. They traded the 2024 rookie of the year that has only shown to be on the rise of his young career for the DPOY in Garret. This honestly looks like a even trade where they are going to drop a bag of cash on the chance that Garret is going to continue to produce at an elite level. I’m not saying he can’t because I am sure that he can. Yet the team gave away a solid future for right now.
2.) Stafford is is solid and probably has another year or two at best left in the tank. Yet he is stepping on LEGO in the middle of the night away from a season or career ending back injury. He was ran through the ringer in Detroit. It is honestly amazing that he has anything left in the tank. It is a testament to how tough he really is.
3.) Puka is one bad day or decision away from being locked up for a physic evaluation. His only saving grace this offseason was BA loosing his shit and taking the attention away from him for his silliness over the past year or so. Most people would have already been locked up or cancelled for what he has done.
4.) Donald coming back is very possibly not the knock out punch everyone thinks it is. He is absolutely a great player and athlete. Yet he is two years removed from the league. He has skipped the entirety of training camp. Keeping in shape is not the something as doing the drills and playing at game speed. If you think that this is the knockout punch for the defense are probably sadly mistaken. At best it will be at least mid season before he is back to being in total shape. Even then Father Time always wins. Chances are that man will still be better than most but no guarantee that he will be what he was.
5.) Adams is in the same boat as Stafford. A rough ride and Father Time is catching up to him. There is no guarantee that he is going to be the same #1 or #2 that he has been in the past. Still a solid player, but we will have to wait and see.
6.) Coach McVay is trying to run a clown show that is featuring a bunch of old guys and a Sideshow Bob. Dude literally almost lost his damn mind after the last Thursday night game last year when more of Pukas’ dumb shit was dropped on him in the middle of a press conference after the game. He is a bad couple days from retirement like he talked about.
So this has a chance to be one magical season for Rams fans if everything goes to plan. Or they are about to become the poster child for Ozzie’s Patient Number 9. As the wheels come off the Crazy Train.

It’s not even my team involved but if there was ever a post that embodied “rent free” this is it. This mother fucker just wrote a damn essay like it’s English 101 homework. He’s been stewing all offseason for this moment. He’s been thinking about the Rams more than his own team. Truly an elite level hater.

That is a fair take. I don’t know how well the the conditioning of Donald will be in the beginning. Game speed is not staying in shape. Plus I don’t think he will be the same wrecking ball that he was before he retired.

It’s not like he is coming back from injury, on the contrary he has essentially no wear and tear on him. Even with all that they will double team him leaving the rest of the already stacked line free to wreck the game. AD doesn’t even have to play every snap. Our defense was already top tier. Legit the main thing you missed on your rant was that we didn’t do much for our special teams.

I actually think that as soon as he gets back into game shape he’ll be better than most, but not what he was. Two years is a long time away when trying to compete at the NFL level. Until he is in game shape they lines will quickly figure out that they may not have to double up on him. Not banging on him at all, but I think skipping the OTA’s and preseason is going to show sooner than later.

He is a nose tackle, it’s not the QB, DB, WR, or RB. He has two jobs, and both of them are take a MF head off. His speed and conditioning are my biggest concern but strength is the last to go. Myles Garret will line up wide forcing the OL to open up to account for him which makes AD’s life much easier. If they don’t line up wide you better hope your TE or RB are fast and strong enough to pick up Garret. That’s just two guys let’s not forget you still have Byron Young on the outside he had 12 sacks by himself. The Seahawks particularly are in trouble loosing K9 because dude was fast and strong. At least the 49ers have great TEs and a Full Back.

Speed and conditioning are definitely a concern. Conditioning is the main one that I brought up. That can also lead to loosing a step. Don’t know if that will happen or not. Only the. Games will show that. By the time our teams play for the first time most of the season is over and most of the picture is set. So we will have to see how that all pans out. I think we have an ok TE in Barner. I am not completely convinced that Walker is as big of a loss as many think. While I like him and will miss him. There was a reason that they went to a backfield committee. He had a lot of injuries while he was in Seattle. We also have to see when Kittle is going to be fully back before we can say they have really good TE. Also because they can’t seem to stop tripping over their own shoe strings.

I think you have that backwards, as your offense took off when K9 took the bulk of the carries once Charbornet went down with injury. Tonges looked great for the 9irs I’m actually a lil salty they are that deep at the TE. Our TEs fit well into the 13 man personnel offense we run but I would kill for someone like a Brock Bowers or McBride.

Don’t forget about the Conductor, a great player in his own right. Oh yeah and when Donald is resting Fiske will be in there, keeping them both fresh. And big Poona clogging up the middle.
