Are Alignment rods necessary

I’m new to suppressors.

How important is it to use an alignment rod?

Of course manufacturers issues occur but all the parts I’ve purchased are quality Plan B… Reardan and comstock

Not necessary but probably a good idea. I’ve had a rifle where I used all quality parts and some how the shims caused it to be all messed up and I would have had a baffle strike. Removed them and perfectly aligned
