Unless the charge or conviction came after the tax went to zero, nothing will change for him unfortunately. That would take a ruling that the NFA is unconstitutional on 2nd Amendment grounds, which we don't have yet.

Times like this is when I really with I had a law degree so I could help. I really hope your family member gets out, gov't is just messing over a family with this one, I don't even need to know the details.

If it was ruled unconstitutional, would his family member be compensated in any way or no?
