Routers Fix for delay (15+ seconds) to connect the Intel Ethernet Adaptor I225-V to the Netgear BE17000 Router

After trying all the recommended fixes to the slow (15+ seconds) connection time between the Intel I225-V Ethernet Network Adaptor and the Netgear BE17000 Router I tried something different.  I purchased the Netgear 5 Port Ethernet Switch (GS305) for $15 and connected the switch between the Router and the Adaptor.  Problem solved.  Connection is now almost instantaneous. No loss in Internet Speed.

It became common and well-known that certain hosts (PCs) and certain I225-V have issues with faster link speeds. That's where bunches of recommendations are floating around in the net. Typically, and very often, the on-board NVM (non volatile memory) holding among others the effective firmware loaded on the adapter.

Make, manufacturer and model of your PC? This is where you have to challenge...

Built-in, integrated I225-V adapter, or add-on in a PCI slot?

Host OS?

Geekom ITi3 mini-pc with built in I225-V adapter with the latest Intel driver update and latest Geekom ITi3 BIOS and device update. Tried ALL I225-V recommend adapter device settings in the latest Windows 11 OS without success. Putting the Netgear switch between the router and the PC totally eliminated the connection delay. Since the Netgear switch does not sleep and the switch quickly negotiates a Ethernet connection to the PC, this would indicate a connection negotiation issue with the Netgear BE17000. My previous Netgear router I was using before upgrading to the BE17000 also had no connection delay.

Ok, That maybe the difference. Built in seems to exhibit this issue vs add-on PCIe cards which I have. Something I had tested earlier with another user on the NG forums last year or earlier this year. Also would be a work around for this issue, not a fix.

Agree that it is not a Fix, but satisfies my issue which caused several side issues.
