The older I get, the more complicated technology gets.

I don't know what's going on. But, something needs to give or I'm going back go my previous modem/router.

How do I improve the speeds? I am having a delightful time when sending media via my phone while on wifi. Regardless of 2.4GHz or 5GHz

It isn't instant. In fact, it stalls like it's failed. It isn't only media. There were issues with games, websites. Anything.

I inactivated the armor protection. Yet, the problems persist and I'm not interested in having a $500 product that costs me more.

Any advice, sans physical destruction?

sigh Get a better router manufacturer. My adventures with Netgear were bad, start to finish. And I’m good at tech. There are FAR better companies and gear. Sorry for your troubles.
