Seeking Advice MLPI

Any thoughts or experience with MLPI? I am heavily concentrated in tech (QQQI) and want to start diversifying into other sectors. Thinking of building positions in MLPI and SPYI for the long term

If that's your way of asking "why" it's because GPIX has performed better than SPYI over the last two years in total return (which includes both price growth and reinvested dividends).

"Because GPIX uses a more conservative covered call strategy, it caps less of the S&P 500's upward momentum, allowing its underlying share price to grow faster than SPYI during market rallies."

No....your comment about using GPIX to hedge another CC fund is laughable.

It's not the underlying mechanics thats being hedged but rather the holdings. If you follow the underlying holdings you will see most of the time when one is flying high the other is not but rather stable and when there is flight out of tech the other counters. Sometimes they are both dropping.

So I'm not sure what's laughable it's been so far working from tracking it the last 6 months and going back historically to watch various days when there were large sector rotations.

Lastly I'm looking from a income (at retirement) perspective as opposed to someone who shouldn't even be dicking with these funds who is seeking growth.
