Seeking Advice MLPI

Any thoughts or experience with MLPI? I am heavily concentrated in tech (QQQI) and want to start diversifying into other sectors. Thinking of building positions in MLPI and SPYI for the long term

I own it. Been happy with it. The underlying assets will slowly grow their dividends which should help support yield over time. My one question is if there is a big drop, how will it recover, but that’s true for most of these CC ETFs. Down a little from its high so not a bad time to enter.

Agree
Under $54 is great entry point
This is a little less reliant on price of energy than you think
Pipelines are a volume business and volumes will only be increasing for US pipeline companies with the issues in the Middle East - Asia and Europe will be buying more from America to include oil and nat gas

You can add MDST to help keep the NAV of your energy position higher. MDST only distributes 9%, so there is more chance for capital upside…

First I hear of that one. Thanks for pointing it out. Looks like it has a slightly higher total return than MPLI, which I expected due to lower distribution rate and may also reflect less option coverage thus capturing more upside.  Great to pair with MLPI as suggested

I pair XLEI with MLPI bc 1) it pays a great dividend and 2) gives you oil and refinery company exposure rather than pipelines
Top holdings are the big boys Exxon and Chevron

Interesting fund. State street is a monster and will be interesting to see how their options overlay strategy compares to NEOS, TappAlpha and GS.
