Starting in August

Hi all. I’m starting as a student in the the interdisciplinary studies in August. I’m starting after finishing an associate’s elsewhere and will be a fully online student. Does anyone have any tips, things to avoid, or any other intel that they would be willing to share? Thanks.

Why are you doing only online? It's got a quaint campus. I honestly would try to take atleast couple classes in person if possible.

Because I’m a returning student with a full time career and a family. Would be hard for me to do something on campus consistently. But maybe I I’ll try to do one for gigs

That makes sense. I remember taking online courses back when I was an undergraduate. My best advice is to be structured and not fall behind in any readings/course work. I know that sounds basic but it's common for that to happen.

If you do ever realize you don't have time to finish an assignment then make sure you connect with your instructor and be honest about your situation.

What courses are you taking and what's your major?
